The Last of Us: an important announcement for the TV series coming?

It's been months now since Sony Pictures, Naughty Dog, Word Games, PlayStation Productions e HBO they announced a TV series based on the popular franchise of The Last of Us but, unfortunately, no details have been shared about this interesting television project since then. Something seems to be moving behind the scenes, given that the producer and screenwriter Craig Mazin (known for his works in Chernobyl, Superhero the Most Gifted of Superheroes, Scary Movie 3 and 4, The Hangover 2 and 3 and The Huntsman and the Ice Queen) has published a tweet which has largely intrigued fans of the American post-apocalyptic series. Inside it is possible to observe a gif that refers to a countdown of only seven days, presumably heralding some kind of ad arriving.

Currently it is difficult to deduce what the various companies intend to reveal to the public, at best it is possible to assume the name of some hired actors for the show or even some kind of teaser trailer. To tell the truth this might even don't refer to The Last of Us, as the man is currently also working on the Borderlands film in addition to the next chapter of Pirates of the Caribbean. Fans of the Naughty Dog videogame series are still confident, also because the screenwriter has recently included the well-known Ellie as an image on his social profile.

For those who don't know what we were talking about, the TV series should tell the events of the famous video game of 2013 under the supervision of N and the executive producer Carolyn Strauss (known for her works in Game of Thrones, Chernobyl, The Specials and Deadwood - The Movie). In case you don't know two of the most discussed videogame works of the last ten years, we remind you of our reviews of the first, the stand-alone spin off and of the second episode and of The last of Us.
