The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, here's how it would be in 8K with Ray Tracing

Since its release in 2017 for Nintendo Switch and Wii U, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild it immediately became one of the products capable of moving the entire gaming entertainment industry. Fans on this Link open world adventure continue to increase even today thanks to the rejuvenation of the formula that observes, in any case, the origins of the franchise. It is therefore not surprising that the modder is still widely active, as they update the game with some interesting news while others made just for fun. Just think of the more serious ones that feature a new game room or even the first person view, while others more playful that introduce strange beings that can be faced in the land of Hyrule.

One of the latest mods currently in the works is made by Pascal Gilcher, a person known in the industry for being the author of the Screen-Space Ray Traced Global Illumination shader (usually abbreviated as RTGI). As it is demonstrated in the video present in this article, the Nintendo title runs through the CEMU emulator in the glorious 8K. According to what we can see, the general work seems almost ahypothetical remastering of the Nintendo opera. This is also possible thanks to the capabilities offered by technology Ray Tracing, observable both in the plains and in the same models of the main and secondary characters. A work not yet complete, but which already demonstrates great care and passion on the part of its author.

However, we want to underline that our editorial staff absolutely does not approve of piracy, both in the videogame medium and in any other kind of multimedia work or not. In any case, it remains interesting to observe how The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, or any other product, is reinterpreted by enthusiasts all over the world, also demonstrating styles that risk contrasting the vision of the original authors, but which still remain artistically of the highest level.
