Uncharted: Tom Holland claims he was

Since the announcement of the film dedicated to Uncharted, fans of the highly acclaimed series N they said they were thrilled to finally be able to see the heroic Nathan Drake on the big screen. Yet someone is worried that the protagonist's interpretation may be unsuitable and, hard to believe, that someone is really Tom Holland! During a recent interview with the microphones of GQ, where the young actor had the opportunity to tell several anecdotes about his roles, such as that of Cherry in the Russo brothers' film of the same name or that of Spider-Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. However, there was no lack of opportunity to dwell on the role of Nathan Drake and to reveal some background to the film.

Precisely with regard to Uncharted, Tom Holland said he was rather worried about how he decided to approach this role. As explained by the actor, during the filming of the film Holland, he began to focus much more on his physical appearance, rather than on his correct interpretation of the character created by Naughty Dog.

As soon as you start asking yourself 'Did I look good on this take?', Acting becomes more than just playing a character. I believe there are elements of my performance in Uncharted that have been influenced by my 'I want to look good, I want to look good in this moment'. I had to play a tough, strong-willed guy - basically Mark Wahlberg. My character should be a goddamn hero right now! Look, I haven't seen the movie yet, so I don't know if I've succeeded. But it was a very important lesson, because sometimes it wasn't about leaving a mark anymore, but about leaving a mark, posing and looking at my biceps… It was a mistake and it's something I will probably never do again.

Tom Holland therefore seems to have learned a real lesson from this experience which, as stated by him, he hopes will help him not to make the same mistake again.

We remind you that Uncharted, the film directed by Ruben Fleischer, will be released in cinemas on 11 February 2022. In the cast, in addition to the aforementioned Tom Holland, we find Mark Wahlberg, in the role of SullyAntonio BanderasSophia Ali,  Tati Gabrielle.
