Was Days Gone 2 really canceled? Speak to the Director of the game

Yesterday a new report shared by the well-known journalist Jason Schreier would have revealed Sony's future plans, which according to him would have set aside the realization of minor projects (among these would be included Days Gone 2) to give more prominence to more successful franchises. Although the Japanese giant has not yet expressed itself officially on the matter, according to the words of Schreier, Bend Studio would have repeatedly proposed ideas for a possible sequel, but these were promptly rejected for various reasons.

In light of the report by the well-known Bloomberg journalist, which created a lot of confusion in the heads of gamers fond of Sony exclusives, the director of Days Gone (Jeff Ross) has decided to break the delay in the past few hours, publicly responding to the topic through a tweet on their official account. Here are his words:

Hey all, thanks for reaching out with all the support. I'm not able to confirm or deny anything, so please understand if I like one of your Tweets all it means is I saw it and appreciate it – and nothing else. Love you guys!

Hi everyone, thank you for all your support. I am unable to confirm or deny anything, so please understand that if I like one of your Tweets it just means that I have seen and liked it, nothing else. I love you guys!

Unfortunately, Ross's words do not add further details, since he himself has pointed out that at the moment he is unable to confirm or deny anything. In a subsequent tweet, a fan of the game told the Game Director that they are looking to pursue a petition to be presented to Sony in the coming months, as many are interested in getting a Days Gone 2 and finding out how the adventure continues.
