Will Assassin's Creed Valhalla guarantee 60 fps on consoles?

The games in the series Assassin's Creed, especially the last two chapters, Origins ed Odyssey, have always been quite challenging even for the most powerful PCs. Only the RTX 2080Ti of Nvidia managed to get the titles to run at Constant 60 fps with maximum resolution 4K (Ultra settings), while the framerate on consoles, both Xbox One X and PlayStation 4 Pro, has almost always remained anchored at 30 fps, with slight dips to 25 fps. After the presentation of the new Assassin's Creed Valhalla, many gamers plan to switch to next-gen consoles before getting their hands on the next chapter in the iconic Ubisoft, precisely in order not to run into problems related to drops in framerate.

At the moment no official confirmation has arrived, nor from the French development team much less from Microsoft, but we cannot exclude that the title may remain "castrated" on 30 fps even on the new Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5, hypothesis fed by the same official website of the Redmond house. As can be seen from the screenshot of The Ascent, which you can conveniently find at the bottom, presents among the supported features: resolution in 4K native, Smart delivery and 60 fps. Analyzing the same infographic, but this time of Assassin's Creed Valhalla, Ubisoft's new title would feature the support for 4K, Smart delivery, but no mention of 60 frames per second. Obviously, this lack does not confirm that the new chapter of the Assassins does not support 60 fps on next-gen consoles, but that most likely Ubisoft has not yet communicated this feature, given that the title is still under development.

We remind you that at the beginning of this week, Aaron Greenberg Xbox has confirmed that 60 fps will be the standard for Xbox Series X, with maximum support up to 120 fps.
