Will Call of Duty 2021 be developed by Sledgehammer Games?

The franchise of Call of Duty continues to dominate the market, the result of the record successes of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and the free battle royale of Warzone. The latter managed to attract an incredible figure of 85 millions of players and has quickly become another Activision gem, thanks in part to its ability to generate profit. However, fans are always interested in the future of this popular saga and despite Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War has been released relatively recently, speculation about the next big title has already begun to appear on the net. For a certain period, the development cycle set up by Activision it has been pretty easy to predict since Infinity Ward e Treyarch alternated from year to year before a third California-based studio, Sledgehammer GAMES, was created and added to the mix. Things are now more confused since Raven Software has been involved and major studios have apparently fallen into more than one supporting role, lending a hand in both of the recently released Call of Duty titles.

The famous leaker of Call of Duty Tom Office Series Henderson during the day today he shared an image from his account Twitter which would reveal the development cycles of the Call of Duty studios. Even though Modern Warfare launched in 2019, Infinity Ward continued to work on Warzone updates until 2020. Unfortunately for them, it would take around 14 months to develop a new Call of Duty title from scratch. Following the theory, with Raven and Treyarch both working on Black Ops Cold War, Activision would then return with Sledgehammer Games to assemble the new game of the 2021.

In fact, the studio would presumably have been working on this year's game as early as August 2019, with just over two years to work on it. It is not known what topic this new game will focus on, even if the rumors are many and the ways open even more. The speculation appears to be a reversal of fortune for the studio, which was at the center of a series of rumors in early 2020 regarding the troubled development of Black Ops Cold War. That said, we invite all of our readers to prendere rigorously with a grain of salt what is written here sopra, Since none of this has been confirmed officially.
