Will God of War Ragnarok be PS5 exclusive? Jim Ryan doesn't confirm this

In a recent interview with The Telegraph, Jim Ryan (president and CEO of Sony Interactive Entertainment) is back to talk about PlayStation 5 and future projects of Sony in the gaming field. Among the questions posed, Ryan was asked if God of War Ragnarok (title still unofficial), second chapter of the new series developed by Santa Monica Studio, will be released exclusively on PlayStation 5. Ryan's response, however, will alarm fans of the series dedicated to the famous Kratos ...

In fact, to the question: "Can you confirm whether God of War Ragnarock will be a PlayStation 5 exclusive?", Ryan replied:

Sorry. I have nothing to say about it today.

Since the first chapter of the series, published in 2005, God of War has always been one of the most successful exclusives of Sony consoles. The new chapter did record sales of over 10 million copies, a sign that the players have never forgotten Kratos and who, indeed, could not wait to be able to go back to his clothes. Is it possible that Ryan just wanted to tease the fans? It seems really strange that a studio like Santa Monica, linked to SIE (Sony Interactive Entertainment), could even think of selling its product outside the PlayStation platforms.

As mentioned above, for the second chapter of the new God of War the term "Ragnarock" has not yet been officially confirmed. The game was shown last September 16th through a short trailer, which for your convenience we report at the bottom of the news. This is the God of War sequel, the first chapter of the new series published on PlayStation 4, exclusively, in 2018 (here you can take a look at our review). Sony has already announced the launch window of the highly anticipated sequel.

Sony recently updated the FAQ section dedicated to PlayStation 5, confirming SIE-branded games that will be available from launch of its new next-gen console (November 19):
