Will Starfield be able to count on a new animation system?

Despite Bethesda has decided that it does not wish to provide any new information regarding Starfield During this year, some new indiscretions have as their protagonist the RPG with a sci-fi setting currently under development and, in particular, the animation system that will characterize it. In fact, based on what emerges from the LinkedIn resume of one of the game's developers, the software house (recently bought by Microsoft products) would have decided to take advantage of a significantly improved version of his graphic engine and to work on a completely revised animation system compared to that used in the company's past games.

Based on what can be read from the senior programmer's resume Eric Braun, it emerges that he worked directly on the renewal of the game's graphics engine. At the bottom of the article it is possible to examine the images taken from the LinkedIn profile, just before Braun made some details private which, for completeness, we report translated below:

For BGS (Bethesda Game Studios, ed) I was busy replacing the Havok Behavior with a custom animation system made for Starfield and all future company titles. It includes graph-based editing, live monitoring, in-game animation rewind tools, high quality compression and a high level of performance.

This news does nothing but corroborate what was stated by Todd Howard last month. The producer and director of Bethesda Game Studios has in fact stated that The Elder Scrolls 6 and Starfield will be able to count on a renewed and decidedly more performing graphics engine than the one present on the titles published by the software house in recent years, or the dated Creation Engine. At this point, we just have to wait for the next few months to discover new details about the new animation system that will characterize the highly anticipated new triple A titles from Bethesda.
