Xbox and Nintendo will soon unveil a partnership, according to an insider

According to rumors spread by Nick "Shpeshal_Ed" Baker on Twitter (co-founder of XboxEra.com), Xbox e Nintendo they could announce a partnership later this year. The thing, according to the insider, could be guessed from the video of the YouTube channel Game Mess di Jeff Grubb, in which the latter discusses a photo with Phil Spencer, in which there are several objects, including one Nintendo Switch.

In the video, Grubb states that all that is visible is connected to something coming, from which the hypothesis of the partnership was derived. It is not clear what it could be if it was confirmed, but we can speculate that it could be the arrival of the Game Pass on Nintendo Switch, or titles of Microsoft products also published on the home console Nintendo.

There have been indirect collaborations between Xbox and Nintendo in recent years. Just think of the publication of Ori and the Blind Forest, and its sequel Ori and the Will of the Wisps on Nintendo Switch. This would allow Microsoft to conquer new portions of the market and Nintendo to expand the stock of its console.

However, many games in the Game Pass catalog would not be able to run on the hybrid console, this means that in the event there would be a adapted title library and magazine on his hardware possibilities, unless xCloud is also included in the proposal.

Alternatively, it could be a collaboratively developed game. Another hypothesis concerns the arrival of more Microsoft characters on Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, which we remember already hosts Banjo and Kazooie, character among other things much appreciated by the community.

In any case, if the news is confirmed, it will be very interesting to see what they pull out of the hat. It could be one profitable strategic choice for both. We just have to wait for confirmations or denials by one of the two or both, or wait for the announcement if the news were true.
