XCOM: 2K Games announces the Chimera Squad spin-off

After announcing XCOM 2 on Nintendo Switch, 2K Games revealed that on April 26 on PC will be available XCOM: Chimera Squad, a spin off of the series. The title is set five years after the events of XCOM 2, but the development team Firaxis pointed out that this is not a real sequel. There will also be a new mode, namely the Breach Mode, where it will not be enough to assign a certain point on the map to the entire team but it will be necessary to give an entry point to each agent.

    Il designer Mark Nauta said:

After releasing XCOM 2 and the War of the Chosen expansion, with XCOM: Chimera Squad, we realized that there were exciting gameplay opportunities yet to be explored. Chimera Squad includes several changes to the saga's traditional formula.

XCOM: Chimera Squad will be available for one week, starting on the day of publication, at the price 9,99 €. Starting from May 1st the price will rise to 19,99 €.
