Yakuza: Like a Dragon, the PS5 version does not update for free from the Store

As reported in the last few minutes by the pushsquare.com portal, currently it is not possible to upgrade to the PlayStation 5 version for free Yakuza: Like a Dragon, between the pages of PlayStore di Sony. The problem is occurring exclusively with the digital version of the title, previously purchased in digital delivery version for PlayStation 4. Those who have made them a physical copy of the last chapter of the famous Sega RPG series will have no problem proceeding with the update.

For some hours we have dedicated the our review a Yakuza: Like a Dragon in PlayStation 5 version, of which we offer you an excerpt below:

Yakuza: Like a Dragon is a game in which you will experience the genesis of a hero out of the ordinary, very atypical and with a very particular sense of honor. Despite abandoning the action variant in favor of the turn-based one, the title remains pleasantly different as well as being an experience that is always full of thoughtful ideas. Ultimately it does not represent a step forward, but it is a side step that opens the doors to many different scenarios and types of games. Deep down, however, we hope for another similar experience, since this has filled our hearts with joy. On PlayStation 5 the game makes its figure, we don't cry out to the graphic miracle, but we don't even talk about a small rejection.

The latest chapter of the series, belonging to the genre of role-playing games with turn-based combat (and therefore considered a reboot), was developed by Sega for Windows PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X and Series S. The game made its debut on November 10 2021 to finally land today also in the PlayStation 5 version. For the first time in the history of the series the game will not be set in Tokyo and Kamurocho but, rather, in the district of Yokohama, based on the royal district of Isezakicho in Yokohama. Also, the new protagonist of the game is Ichiban Kasuga, which replaces the famous Kazuma Kiryu.

Waiting for new developments on the resolution of the problem that currently prevents the digital update to the PlayStation 5 version of the game, we remind you that Yakuza: Like a Dragon is only one of the new games published (or in the pipeline) to March 2021.
