Marvel's Avengers, the highly anticipated title developed by Crystal Dynamics and published by Square Enix, is finally on the home straight. The title will in fact be released on September 4 on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Google Stadia, and then arrive later also on the new generation consoles, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X. The game will obviously see the Avengers at the center of the adventure and is therefore it is advisable to do a good review of the characters that we will use within the title. So here we are with the card Captain America, the very famous super soldier.

Powers

The inimitable Steve Rogers has abilities superior to any other human being, thanks to the formula of Super Soldier serum which has incredibly enhanced his senses, his physical and mental form, making him a fighter expert and the Captain America we all know. Here is the list of his melee techniques:

New York Knuckles: A series of light bouts
Eagle's Talon: A series of three light attacks in mid-air
Cartwheel Kick: A powerful attack that exposes the opponent to other attacks
Super Punch: Attack on the run using the shield
Shield Sweep: Executable after Cartwheel Kick, an attack that knocks down enemies making them vulnerable to further hits
Feinting Uppercut: Immediately after a dodge, a direct attack on the opponent
Commander's Parry: Counterattack using the shield
Shield Smash: A series of heavy shield attacks
Shield Dive: A heavy mid-air attack that knocks down the enemy
Torpedo Kick: Attack on the run with a kick, knocking the enemy away
Shield Bash: An attack capable of knocking the opponent into the air
Soldier's Slam: A powerful shield attack that generates a shock wave
Grand Slam: Right after a dodge, a shield uppercut
Rising Hope: Executable after Cartwheel Kick, launches an enemy close to the previous one into the air
Shield Strike: Chain a series of light attacks with a powerful heavy attack
Commander's Call: Counterattack with a powerful shockwave

Military training also makes him a perfect ranged fighter, especially thanks to his shield, with which he is able to face a large amount of enemies. By throwing and bouncing the shield, Cap manages to hit several targets in sequence and, after catching it on the fly, he is immediately ready to defend himself from enemy attacks. Stories to read

The Winter Soldier: probably one of the most famous stories of Captain America, from which the second film dedicated to the hero was also based. In The Winter Soldier, we witness the clash between Cap and his ex-partner Bucky Burnes, captured by the Soviet army and made one of the most dangerous soldiers on the entire planet.
The man out of time: in The Man Out of Time we see what Steve Rogers felt after his awakening. In fact, on a cultural level, there are many differences between the period of the Second World War and the present day. A very important story, which analyzes and expands the psychology and personality of Captain America.

Game style

Steve Rogers is an incredible soldier, both tactically and in terms of combat. Precisely in the melee, Captain America shows off the maximum of his skills, managing to thin out, alone, large groups of enemies. The use of the shield is also very important, with which it can hit multiple targets even from great distances.
