Fully upgrade D-Horse and D-Dog in Metal Gear Solid 5 The Phantom Pain

 

In this guide we see how to develop at most two of Big Boss's companions: D-Horse and D-Dog.

We have already seen in separate guides - which you can find in the tricks / complete guide card of Metal Gear Solid 5 the Phantom Pain - what you need to do to recruit the D-Dog among the companions (the D-Horse instead is available immediately) . But you must know that it is also possible to "upgrade" these companions, increasing their bond with Big Boss. Here's how to do it and what unlocks with bonding to the max.

D-Dog
To empower the D-Dog dog and maximize the bond with him you simply have to take him as much as possible in the missions with Big Boss. Do not forget from time to time to use the "Triangle" button to give him a few strokes. Also be very careful to limit the damage suffered by D-Dog, every time he is hit the bond will tend to go down.

Once the bond with the dog is maximized, in addition to unlock the achievement "Man's best friend" You will also unlock additional attacks that D-Dog can perform against your enemies.

D-Horse
Horse enhancement works in a very similar way to dog enhancement. Use it in missions and ride it as much as possible. Even with him, be careful not to abandon him under enemy fire, when he suffers damage, in fact, the bond will suffer.

By increasing the bond with D-Horse you will unlock the "Faithful Steed" achievement together with the command "Falla" with which the legendary D-Horse will start defecating as if there were no tomorrow.
