Clash Royale - Guide to Royale Recruits, decks and tips on how to use them

These days it has been distributed to various players of Clash Royale the new common card called Royal Recruits. The troops will be available from Arena 7, or from the Royale Arena, and their use is very particular. The cost is high enough to alienate most users but, as you learn from Clan Wars, any seemingly useless card could prove decisive. Precisely for this reason we have compiled this guide, so if you need to, you'll know what to do with these new characters.

We know the Royal Recruits

The card are 6 characters lined up horizontally in your half field. The Recruits will split into two groups consisting of three units that will go in opposite directions. The troops are ground-based and have a light shield that makes them immune to a few hits. The prohibitive cost however, we are talking about 8 units of elixir, or the amount to deploy a Golem, is the greatest weakness. In fact, the problem with this new card, it is a very low base defense, therefore troops like the Fire Mage, Valkyrie, Baby Dragon or Executioner, can easily take out one of the two groups that will be formed.

Usage Strategies

As mentioned above, once you have deployed the Royal Recruits they will go horizontally covering your entire area. They can be deployed in the opponent's field only and exclusively when you have destroyed both Princess Towers to your opponent. Their use is purely defensive, even if, unfortunately, they also suffer from many cards present in the game. in fact they will be very effective against mainly all the Tanks, but any character with area damage can easily take them out. The best strategy to use, however, is to wait for the opponent to focus on one side using a large amount of elixir. On the one hand you will use them to defend yourself against the attack, on the other hand you will focus on the restart, thus taking your enemy off guard. Unfortunately it is not a particularly flexible troop, therefore its use is limited to this function.

Recommended decks

Given the high cost of the troop, don't expect a low average elixir cost, although there may be exceptions. These decks that we propose however are only indicative, it is assumed that you will have to adapt them to your needs.

Sphere of Fire
Ice Golem
Infernal Dragon
Tronchetto
Lumberjack
Magic Archer
Royal Recruits
Scaricuccioli

Unfortunately this is a deck that will require a lot of legendaries, but at least you will be ready for any type of opponent. The goal of this deck is to try to destroy the enemy tower by taking advantage of the small continuous damage, or be able to get the Infernal Dragon defended by the magical archer and enraged by the lumberjack potion. While it may seem like a difficult deck to use, once you get started the moves will come to you automatically.

Furnace
Infernal Dragon
Magic Archer
Miner
Poison
Royal Recruits
Valkyrie

This deck is a small variation of the one above, the damage will be more direct and constant, also forced by the use of the Miner and the Poison. The Valkyrie will protect you from the second lines and free up the use of Royal Recruits. Furnace will serve as a support or to distract the opponent, the Magic Archer will be useful for striking from afar or taking out the air troops.

Flying car
Cemetery
Ice Golem
Poison
Royal Recruits
Tesla
Download
Scaricuccioli

Unfortunately, this too is a very expensive deck from an economic point of view, but don't be afraid that there are much more expensive decks. Here to attack you can take advantage of the classic Ice Golem and Graveyard combo, the Flying Machine and the Scaricuccioli will take care of the air troops, Download and Tesla only for defense and the Poison to destroy enemy buildings or take away from the Tower just enough to win. The use of Royal Recruits, also in this case, is closely linked to the defensive phase.

Three Musketeers
Outlaw
Horde of Minions
Tronchetto
Miner
Elixir extractor
Royal Recruits
Download

Average cost 4.8, it is obvious that your maneuvers will be strictly focused on the use of the Extractor. This we propose to you it is the bravest deck but also the most difficult since, an opponent who exploits any card that can take out the extractor, is easily found. Despite this, however, you can play safely without Three Musketeers, continuing to do small but constant damage with the Miner or managing to get the Outlaw under the enemy Tower. In case they take out the extractor, wait until you have destroyed the first Tower to the enemy, so that you can deploy the Three Musketeers in the center and destroy the second Tower with a few hits.
