Horizon Zero Dawn - Guide to where to find batteries to get Shield Weaver Armor

In this guide dedicated to Horizon Zero Dawn we want to help you find all five batteries and get the Shield Weaver armor, which is the strongest one in the game of Guerrilla Games, the protections are all mostly purchasable by merchants throughout history. There is, however, a particular armor that confers total defense and getting it even unlocks a game trophy. This cover is able to completely absorb any damage, making you invulnerable for a limited time and is obtained by activating the Ancient Armory mission. In this guide we will see how to get this armor which is the most powerful in the game.

How to activate and solve the Ancient Armory mission

The armor is located in a dungeon just east of Embrace of the Mother and southwest of the ruins of Thirst for the Demon, which can be discovered early in the game. Getting to the bunker will be simple because it will be marked on the map as soon as you recover the first battery, i.e. near the mountains that border the Carja territories. Entering the dungeon will unlock the Ancient Armory mission, but the Shield Weaver armor, this is its name, is sealed in a room and you will need to access it. find 5 Batteries that are scattered around the world. Initially to open it you will need 2 Batteries, which are obtained in the prologue. At this point you will have to solve the first puzzle, and the solution will be to turn the hands clockwise, that is, up, right, down, left and up. Then you will come across a gear that will require 3 batteries, and these are hidden in the dungeons. The puzzle to be solved in this case will be to move the hands first to the right, left, up, right and left.

Where to find Horizon Zero Dawn Batteries and Shield Weaver armor? Here is the guide

If you want to collect all 5 Batteries you will have to go a long way in the main story. Since they are all located in sites that you will have to explore to complete the main missions, you will see that they will not be that difficult to find.

Battery of the Ruins of Embrace of the Mother

Go back to the ruins seen in the tutorial, but with Aloy now grown up. Enter and look for a secret room hidden by a barrier of stalactites and stalagmites. Break them with a spear to access the interior and retrieve the first battery and some useful items.

Belly of the Mountain Battery

In this mission, Aloy will wake up in the Belly of the Mountain unarmed. If you decide to take the Battery during the quest, head between two doors after you wake up, then crouch down to slip into a small tunnel to find it immediately on your right. If, on the other hand, you decide to retrieve it later, go back inside, slide and go straight through the corridor that is to the right of the entrance, until you reach the first circular room. Turn left and near some kind of table you will see the Battery.

Creator's End Battery

During the End of the Creator mission, but also afterwards, you will end up on a tower. The battery is right at the top, and you can get there from the conference room by jumping over the elevator.

Mound battery

Also in this case it can be recovered as well later. The battery is quite visible in one of the internal rooms, protected by an enigma with switches to be activated, next to a torch.

GAIA Prime battery

It can be recovered during or even after the main mission The Mountain That Fell, and GAIA Prime is an area accessible only at the end of the quest. It would be preferable to take the battery as soon as you are in the dungeon. Enter the room where you see the hologram and then head back to the stairs. Look towards the platforms below and drop down to the lower level following the purple lights.

Now that you have the five Batteries, you can open the seals and get the ancient treasure. Open your inventory and you will see the Ancient Armory, the most prestigious armor in Horizon Zero Dawn.

When you wear it you will be almost unbeatable, this means that if you take a certain amount of damage, the armor will start flashing red at which point you will take damage as normal. In that case it will be enough to avoid fighting for a few seconds and you will return to being unassailable.
