How to run on Fortnite

All your friends do nothing but talk about Fortnite, so you downloaded it, you started playing with it a bit but, despite the time spent in its world, you found that you were not comfortable with the game's controls. To be specific, you would like to know how to run on Fortnite and whether it is possible to change the pre-assigned key. Don't worry, the answer to these questions of yours is just a few lines away from these.

In the course of this tutorial, in fact, I will explain to you in detail what are the keys to press to escape and reconquer opponents in this famous online title. I will therefore explain to you how to run in the computer game, but also what are the keys to press on the other platforms for which the title is present: Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Android smartphones and tablets and iOS devices.

Preliminary operation

If you have recently started playing Fortnite, I guess you are not yet familiar with the controls of the video game. If that's why you need to know how to run on Fortnite, you will be happy to know that I can help you but, before explaining in detail how to do it, it is necessary to make a brief but important premise: Fortnite is a video game available on computers for operating systems Windows e MacOS and was also released on next gen consoles Xbox One e PlayStation 4. Furthermore, it is also possible to play it on smartphones and tablets Android e iOS.

This title, however, features two different gameplay modes called, respectively, Save the world e Battle royal. The first is a PVE co-op game mode which, at the moment, is paid. It is a style of gameplay belonging to the survival genre in which up to four players have to defeat enemies together.

The game mode Battle royal it is, instead, characterized by a free PVP map where the aim is to face the other players and where the last one standing wins. The game mode Battle royal is available on all the platforms previously mentioned, while the one called Save the world it is available for purchase only on computers and consoles.

Also, I remind you that to play Fortnite online in mode Battle royal on Xbox One consoles you must have a subscription to the service Xbox Live Gold (prices starting from € 2). On PlayStation 4, however, the purchase of the subscription is not required PlayStation Plus.

Run on Fortnite from PC

If you are having trouble with the run on Fortnite from PC, do not worry, I am ready to explain in detail what to do to solve them. The first thing you need to do is launch the game client that you previously downloaded and installed on your computer. Then, double-click on the game icon in the Launchpad of MacOS or on the Windows desktop and, if by chance the game does not start automatically because the launcher of epic Games, click here starts, at the card Fortnite.

When starting Fortnite, select the game mode you prefer the most by clicking on it (for example, press on Battle royal), then press the button ESC, to enter the Lobby. At this point, go to the game controls settings menu, to know the key to press to run on Fortnite and possibly change it, setting a different one.

To do this, click the menu symbol (☰) that you can see in the upper right corner, then in the relative drop-down menu, press on gear symbol and you will access the settings section. Now, click on the arrows symbol located in the tab at the top, in order to view the tab Input: through this screen you can see the list of game commands and the keys to which they have been assigned by default.

In this case, the key used to run on Fortnite is called Shoot and, by default, it is assigned to the key Left Shift. If you want to reset the command to default, click on the word Left Shift and then press any key on the keyboard to set it.

Instead, if you have connected a controller to your computer, you can see the run button by pressing the controller symbol, located in the tab above. The stroke command is also in this case the one called Shoot. To run in Fortnite you have to hold down the left stick of movement or, by pressing it twice consecutively, you can activate the automatic running mode.

If you have changed the default assignments for Fortnite commands related to the keyboard (those related to the use of the controller cannot be changed), press the button ESC to return to the main menu and, in the window that is shown to you, click on the item Save to confirm any changes made. Once you have started a game, press the default button or the one you assigned to run.

Run on Fortnite from smartphones and tablets

If you want to play Fortnite from your smartphone or tablet, start the game you downloaded on Android o iOS via the official Fortnite site or the App Store and after logging into your account epic games, pigia sul pulsating Lobby to display the home screen.

By playing Fortnite on a smartphone or tablet, it is not possible to customize the commands related to movement or running, so to know them, you have to start a new game, as they will be shown on the screen.

To start a new game, press the button Play located in the lower right corner: during the game you can view the list of commands at any time by pressing the button Show guide.

As you can see by playing Fornite, to move you must use circular motion lever located in the lower left corner of the screen: Press and hold this lever up to move and run. Also, if you tap twice in a row on the up arrow, you can activate the continuous and automatic running mode, which does not require you to have to maintain pressure.

When this mode is active, the symbol of a padlock on the circular movement lever. To return to the previous running mode, tap this symbol twice consecutively.

Run on Fortnite from the console

Do you want to play Fortnite on console but, every time you start a game you find yourself in trouble because you can't chase your opponents? Don't worry, run Fortnite on Xbox One o PlayStation 4 it's very easy, as the automatically assigned keys are the same as those used in many other video games.

Without further ado, then start the game by pressing on its icon located on the console home screen, log in to your account epic Games and start a new game via the Lobby of play.

Done? Very well! At this point, to start running and chasing the other players (or to escape them), all you have to do is hold down the left stick of movement. Do you want to activate the auto-run mode to avoid always holding down with your finger? Press twice in a row on the left stick, in order to activate it. Easy, right ?!
