Once down, users reach the various loot areas, where they can collect weapons and other objects useful for defeating their enemies or defending themselves from them.

However, players also need to be careful of storm surrounding the island, which, at regular intervals of time, will tighten its zone. Staying inside the storm does not mean losing instantly, but it is still not advisable to stay long, due to the amount of damage it is capable of doing. Once you get to the last circle, or when the area can no longer shrink, the final battle among the remaining players and whoever manages to survive will conquer the first place in the ranking.

Given the large number of factors at play, you may find it difficult to win a game on Fortnite for PlayStation 4. Don't worry: I'm here to help you and below you will find all the necessary information to be able to improve your ranking in match.

Hide as much as possible

One of the most important tricks to be put in place to be able to get to the top of a Fortnite game is certainly to try to hide as much as possible. This technique is also called "camping" ("camperare"): it is not exactly one of the most popular strategies by the community, but it is not forbidden and it can be useful to train slowly to obtain results.

In fact, Fortnite is a particularly fast game and it is difficult to keep everything that happens in the open field under control. For this reason, some novice players decide to move with caution, going from building to building and hiding. This is to have a better chance of defeating the strongest players.

Usually, the user then drops into a remote point of the map, where other players probably won't drop due to a lack of great loot or because they just didn't want to wait until that far away. Once you have recovered some good weapons and the objects necessary for the continuation, the user hides inside a building and waits for the next area to go to.

At this moment of the game, many players will be defeated, since usually most of the users "try their luck" by jumping with the parachute in the areas where there are the best weapons, where they will find many other players and therefore, necessarily, there will be several battles. This means that you may already be in the first half of the leaderboard when you are notified of the first areas to move to.

Now, all you have to do is wait for the storm to approach and, just before it reaches you (even if you end up in it for a few seconds, in the early stages, it's not a problem), run to the next area, looking for a building to hide. You can plan your moves in advance by pressing the touchpad of the PlayStation 4 controller and checking the location of the houses within the next area on the map.

Of course, you will have to watch out for enemies in any case, but I can assure you that you will hear theirs passivated while standing inside a building it will be child's play. Other than that, you will clearly be able to make use of the traps that you found in the game to give your enemies a nice "surprise".

Once collected, you can place traps by pressing the button O (circle) and then the square on the PS4 pad, moving the character's gaze to a suitable point and pressing the button R2 on the DualShock.

By continuing to implement this method, you will probably be able to get to the last stages of the game with ease, even if you will then have to take part in the final battle. In short, this method exponentially increases the chances of winning.

Memorize the map

The classic trick to be implemented in all online multiplayer games is the one related to knowledge of maps. In the case of Fortnite's Battle Royale mode, remembering the different areas is easier than usual, given the presence of only one island (albeit constantly changing).

If you follow the world of Fortnite live shows, you will surely have heard, even from professional players, that using the construction mode properly is very important for game improvement. It may seem like "boring" advice, especially if you want to play in a frantic way, but I assure you that learning to build, in the title of Epic Games, can lead to great advantages.

In case you don't know, the construction is based on the collection of materials found around the map. They can be obtained both as common objects present on the ground and through the use of the pickaxe against trees, crates and all the destructible elements present in the game scenario. The pickaxe it is provided to you at the beginning of every Battle Royale game: to extract it, you must first press the button triangle and then R2 on the controller, to destroy the elements of the scenario and get the various materials, that is wood, Stone e metal.

After having collected the number of elements sufficient for the construction of the structures (usually 10 unit), all you have to do is press the key O (circle) and then R1 on the controller, select the structure you want to build and use the button R2 to place it in a suitable place. The advice I can give you about construction in Fortnite is abouttraining: The professional players of the Epic Games title manage, in fact, to build the structures to defend themselves or to catch the enemy off guard at supersonic speeds but, of course, to get to those levels, you will have to keep building for many games. It probably won't be one of the funniest things in the game, but I assure you that this will significantly improve your results.

Choose the right landing area

As mentioned above, at the start of every Battle Royale match in Fortnite, the player is inside a flying bus and can choose when to parachute down from it. Well, in this phase the user has the possibility to modify the descent trajectory.

This means that the player can choose which area of ​​the map to fall into. I know, it may seem a rather trivial thing, but in reality this simple choice is able to significantly affect the progress of a game.

Many players, in fact, make the mistake of jumping immediately from the flying bus or going to the areas where the loot is more rare. The end result is that, often, the user who decided to land immediately is defeated in no time at all and reaches one of the final positions of the ranking.

My advice, therefore, is to aim at the most "distant" areas of the map. You probably won't find the best loot and you'll have to run to get to the safe zone, but at least you'll have fewer enemies to defeat and more chances to get through the early stage.

The areas they can recommend are those between two known locations: for example, falling into the forest can be a good way to find fewer players, although clearly it all depends on the initial positioning of the flying bus.

Improve your aim

It will have often happened to you, during a game of Fortnite, to aim at the enemy and miss him, or not to be able to inflict damage on him in time. This is usually due to training, but there are also some important things you shouldn't forget to improve your aim.
