Metal Slug Code: J, the SNK masterpiece returns to mobile devices

SNKGame, through its official Youtube account, he announced Metal Slug Code: J, new chapter of the historic series run and gun. The title, as can be seen from the trailer, will maintain the iconic character design of the saga, but modernizing everything with a 3D graphics. The gameplay, as a result, will result in a horizontal scrolling shooter in 2.5D. This, together with the announcement of the Pokémon themed MOBAs, is the clear demonstration that portable gaming has now definitively moved to mobile devices, and therefore it will be difficult in the future to see other handheld consoles produced by Sony e Nintendo.

In addition to Metal Slug Code: J (working title of the project), another episode of the series is expected to be released on consoles in 2020, on which, however, no official information has yet been released. The development of Metal Slug Code: J was entrusted to TiMi Studios and will be published by Tencent.

Series born in 1996 with the first historical Metal Slug for Neo Geo and arcade, the series hadn't seen a new official chapter since 2016 when, again for mobile devices, it was published Metal Slug Attack. Currently, no official release date has been announced, but we know for sure that the title will see the light on all iOS and Android mobile devices.
