During the Oscars ceremony, the Walt Disney Pictures has released a new TV commercial and an official poster for the film adaptation of The Lion King, directed by Jon Favreau and remake of the famous 1994 cartoon. Made through a mixture of live action and digital effects (as already the previous Disney transposition of Favreau, The Jungle Book), the adventure will feature the lion Simba, heir to the throne. chooses to exile from the kingdom following the death of his father Mufasa.
The film will boast a highly respected cast of actors of the caliber of Donald Glover (Simba), Beyoncé Knowles-Carter (Nala), Chiwetel Ejiofor (Scar), Seth Rogen (Timon), Billy Eicher (Pumba) and James Earl Jones who will return to give voice to Mufasa. The feature film will arrive in Italian cinemas on August 21 2019.
