Nintendo has recently released a brand new trailer dedicated to Paper Mario: The Origami King, exit at Nintendo Switch the next July 17 2020. The full-bodied movie, which you can easily consult on the cover, introduces us to the brand new adventure that the iconic character of the Kyoto house will have to face in order to save Princess Peach. But that's not all, since the clip also introduces some of the characters that will accompany Mario around the world, in search of the ends of the five "huge" tapes, and the countless challenges that we will have to face. We report below the details provided by the Japanese giant:

King Olly has moved Peach's castle in his sneaky plot to bend the world! Fortunately, Mario's ability to practice powerful paper-based techniques will put an end to those plans. Mario's journey to untie the huge stringy ribbons that bind the castle will take him through vast regions full of surprises. He will visit underground sewers, raging rapids, an ancient ruin, a ninja-filled mansion and a bustling desert oasis that will quench anyone's thirst for excitement.

An off-the-wall cast of characters also adds an extra dimension to the journey. There is a Bob-omb who has lost his memory, the ancient history professor toad and Kamek, the Magikoopa who always has an ace up his sleeve. Along the way Mario will find help from friends like Olivia, the good-natured sister of King Olly, and even Bowser himself. Some of these unlikely allies, who could help out in a battle when needed!

Paper Mario: The Origami King offers new ring-based battles, requiring the player to strategy and quick thinking to align enemies and execute timely attacks to maximize damage. It will take a sharp mind to determine when to beat enemies in Mario's boots, when to hit them with a hammer, and when to strategically use items to heal or attack.

An audience of cheering toads is ready to present a variety of useful aids in battle, in case Mario starts to feel pressured. Mario will also face some of his archenemies in battles against the Legion of Stationery, the themed bosses around the stationery like colored pencils, duct tape and rubber bands. These enemies may seem innocent, but take note - they can be very fearsome, so be especially careful!

When Mario fails to challenge him in the ring, he can investigate suspicious spots to uncover hidden objects, throw confetti to mend holes in the landscape, discover lots of toads hiding in the scenery, play mini-games to earn in-game rewards, and " party ”with the multitude of secrets and treasures scattered throughout the game world.
