Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart will have a 60fps graphics mode

During a recent interview with Famitsu, the development team Insomniac Games clarified some aspects related to the technical characteristics of Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, recently shown during a demo at Gamescom 2020. Buyers of Ratchet & Clank Rift Apart, according to the words of the development team, will be able to choose between two different graphics modes, i.e. a 4K resolution at 30fps and a resolution below 60fps. For Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart we decided to focus on balancing the gameplay experience with the goal of still maintaining beautiful graphics. Despite this, we wanted to allow enthusiasts to have the choice between two different types of resolutions and framerates. One will be a 4K resolution at 30fps, while the other will provide a lower resolution but with a game fluidity anchored at 60fps. Our intention is to offer both of these options.

It has not currently been specified whether Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart will narratively follow in the footsteps of Nexus (from which, however, he inherits the concept of "Rift", that is dimensional splits) or if it will be a sequel to the 2016 reboot. driving force not only of the gameplay but also of the narrative. While the two protagonists travel between one dimension and another, during a battle they find themselves separated into two different realities. In the one where Clank ends up, it seems that Nefarious managed to triumph, creating a real dictatorship. Here we will meet a mysterious Lombax who, according to the news released by Insomniac itself, will be a playable character.
