Samsung Galaxy A10 won't charge. Here is the solution.

Despite being a mid-range device, the Samsung Galaxy A10 actually has some impressive hardware specs and Samsung has proven that it can dominate the ups and downs of the Android market. But just like any great phone, the Galaxy A10 isn't without its problems and errors.

In fact, some of our readers who own this device have reported that their device is no longer charging. Some users even thought it was a hardware problem, which may be true, but the best way to know what the problem really is is to experiment with the recommendations below.

So, in this post, I will walk you through in troubleshooting your Samsung Galaxy A10 not charging for some reason. We will consider each possibility and rule them out one by one until we can determine what this issue is about.

So, if you are one of the owners of this phone and are experiencing similar problems then read on as this post may be able to help you one way or another.

Samsung Galaxy A10 won't charge. Here is the solution.

Contrary to what many believe, a charging problem can be nonsense as long as the phone has no signs of physical and / or liquid damage. It goes without saying that you may be able to fix this on your own without having to go back to the store. That said, here's what you need to do ...

1) Force restart the Galaxy A10

The first thing you need to do if you have this kind of problem is to perform the forced restart. It is a simulated battery removal that fixes many firmware related issues. You need to do this first because this problem could just be the result of a small glitch or a problem with the firmware.

None of your files and data will be deleted if you did, so you don't need to worry about it. Here's how to do it:

  1. Press and hold the Volume Down button and don't release it yet.
  2. While holding down the volume button, also press and hold the power key.
  3. Press and hold both keys together for 15 seconds or until the Galaxy A10 logo appears on the screen.

Once your phone has successfully restarted, try connecting it to the charger and if Samsung Galaxy A10 still won't charge then move on to the next solution.

2) Make sure there is no problem with the charger and cable

It may seem like a very complicated thing to do, but it really isn't. In fact, what you need to do is just look in the charger port to see if there is any type of lint or debris.

Use an antistatic toothbrush to clean the door or you could use a dry toothbrush to get rid of anything that doesn't belong to you. If you see a trace of liquid in the door, insert a small piece of tissue paper and leave it there for a minute or two.

Next, check the cable to see if it has any breaks or if there is something obstructing the electricity on both ends. Any substance that sticks to both ends must be removed. Or, if you have another cable that you could use, that would be better.

So essentially all you need to do at this point is check if the charger and cable are both in good condition. If they are and your Samsung Galaxy A10 still isn't charging, try the next solution.

3) Check your phone's charging port

Similar to what you did with the charger and cable, you need to check your phone's charging port to see if there is any gunk, lint, or debris obstructing the electricity.

Also use an antistatic brush to clean the door and if there is a few drops of water in it, insert a small piece of tissue paper, leave the phone placed on the table upright for a couple of minutes and then try charging it again. If your Samsung Galaxy A10 is still not charging after all this then move on to the next solution.

4) Use a different power source

Now we need to rule out the possibility that the problem relates to nutrition. Although we have already checked its condition in the previous step, it is imperative to know if it still works or not. So, try connecting your phone to your computer, laptop, power bank, or other adapter.

If it is detected by the computer or charges with another power source, it is evident at this point that the problem is with its original power adapter. Your best bet is to buy a new charger, preferably the original charger, or just use a third party adapter that produces the same current or voltage.

On the other hand, if the phone is not detected by the computer or still does not charge when connected to a different adapter, then move on to the next solution.

5) Reset the Galaxy A10

If possible, before actually taking the phone to a technician and if possible, let's reset it to erase your personal information. So, first backup your data, remove your Google account and then follow these steps to properly reset your phone:

  1. Turn off the device.
  2. Press and hold the key Volume up and the key Bixby, then hold down the key power on.
  3. When the Galaxy A10 logo appears, release all three keys.
  4. Your Galaxy A10 will continue to boot into recovery mode. When a black screen with blue and yellow texts appears, proceed to the next step.
  5. Press the key several times Volume down to highlight “wipe data / factory reset”.
  6. Press the Potenza key to select.
  7. Press the button Volume down until “Yes” is highlighted.
  8. Press the Power button to select and start the master reset.
  9. When the master reset is complete, “Reboot system now” is highlighted.
  10. Press the power button to restart the device.

After resetting your phone successfully, try to see if it works this time. The purpose of this reset is not just to remove personal information from the device, but to rule out the possibility that it is a problem with the firmware. If your Galaxy A10 still isn't charging, get your return ticket at a service shop.
