This time we wanted to be more creative in the story we wanted to tell and we had an idea that has never been covered by others: Sherlock's "first big case", lived when he was 21. Reckless, impatient and a little cheeky, but unknowingly already on the road to becoming a legend.
Revisiting what is now recognized as a legend is not easy, but the development team has decided to try a more creative approach, completely changing the story and the setting. In addition to a completely new story and setting, the game is built around what the team calls the "Global Investigation System“, An updated and revisited method of the approach taken earlier in The Sinking City, with the aim of going even further and giving players much more freedom to solve cases in a way that feels like real detective work. The Global Investigation System is primarily about making players rely more on their insights and case-solving skills. In Chapter One, clues are acquired and analyzed through a wide range of skills, tricks, tools and methods at Sherlock's disposal. Since there are so many combinations, players will really have to think about things like a detective, because randomly combining clues or trial and error won't be very effective.
