These days, during the Television Critics Association press tour, Amazon announced the first teaser of the first TV series dedicated to The Lord of the Rings. In addition, the online trading giant has announced and confirmed the full team of the television series.
Avremor Helen Shang and Ron Ames as producers of the series. Helen, moreover, will also take care of the screenplay having at her side Justin Doble, Gennifer Hutchison and Jason Cahill, well-known names on the small and big screen. As executive producers we will instead have Lindsey Weber, Gene Kelly, Bruce Richmond and Sharon Tal Yguado. While we have Bryan Cogman and Stephany Folsom as production consultants, we will have Glenise Mullins as writing consultant.
Amazon has confirmed the involvement of costume designers Kate Hawley, Rick Hinrichs, Tom Shippey, Jason Smith and John Howe for the new series in production. Furthermore, as already communicated in recent days, Amazon has contacted the well-known director Juan Antonio Bayona of Jurassic World: the Destroyed Kingdom, in order to direct the main episode of the series which, together with Belen Atienza, will also take care of the role of executive producer. In fact Bayona, at the time of the announcement, stated the following:
