The online videos showcasing the new mode are amazing, and you're sure to be wondering how you can go about trying it out for yourself. No problem, in this guide I will show you how to download Minecraft RTX on your computer. Unfortunately, however, Ray Tracing can only be activated on computers with fairly advanced hardware and software features, which I will explain to you later. Also, you will need to download worlds that have this mode enabled.

In any case, you will see that soon everything will be clearer to you. Preliminary information

Il Ray Tracing it is a technology that makes the luminosity within three-dimensional animations dynamic, and therefore very realistic (for example, allowing you to view “real” reflections on the glass reproduced in 3D environments).

It has been used for a long time within professional 3D rendering software, but in recent years it has forcefully entered the gaming market, following the development by NVIDIA of some video cards that support this mode.

Minecraft announced in August 2019 the implementation of Ray Tracing in the version for Windows 10 of the game (let's talk about the version Bedrock), activating a program of Beta which allowed users with compatible computers to play on worlds developed to support the new graphics feature.

Starting with version 1.16.200 of the game, Ray Tracing is in the options of every version of Minecraft for Windows 10, so you no longer need to participate in the Beta program to try it out.

However, if you intend to test this version of the game, you will need a fairly powerful computer, since the minimum requirements to activate the RTX are quite high.

Specifically, you'll need an NVIDIA RTX 20 Series or 30 Series graphics card. NVIDIA RTX 2060, released in 2018, is the first video card compatible with Ray Tracing technology.

You will also need at least a processor Intel i5, a version of Windows 10 a 64 bit, At least 2GB of disk space and at least 8GB RAM.

The features are for high-end computers, but if you own a machine with these features, you can't not try the new version of this game. Continue reading to find out in detail how to do it.

In case you were wondering, there is currently no official package for activating Ray Tracing on the version Minecraft java, however, thanks to mods released by the community, similar effects can be achieved. In particular, I recommend that you take a look at the shaderpack SEUS (Sonic Ether's Unbelievable Shaders), which is currently still in the embryonic stage of development but looks very promising. Come scaricare Minecraft RTX

If you are going to scaricare Minecraft RTX, you must go to the official page of the Windows 10 store and, if necessary, accept the opening of the store in question.

From here, you can click the button Buy Now, to buy it at the cost of 26,99 €. Otherwise, if you have a promotional code to redeem, you will have to click the gray button with three black dots, and then click on the item Redeem code. In both cases you will need to sign in with your Microsoft account.

Once logged in, you will need to choose your preferred payment method to complete your game purchase. Both card and PayPal payment are available. So click on the button Save, to confirm the payment method, and proceed with the purchase.

If you don't understand any steps, I suggest you take a look at my guide on how to install Minecraft. I reiterate that, currently, the version Minecraft java it doesn't have the option to turn on Ray Tracing.

Once you have purchased the game, all you have to do is press the button Install on my devices. You will thus obtain the list of devices on which your Microsoft account is present, including your computer. Select it from the menu that has appeared and press the button Install Ora.

From the menu Home of your computer, you will be able to monitor the progress of the installation. Once completed, click on the game icon and wait for it to open before moving on to the next point in this guide.

How to download or create Minecraft RTX worlds

Once you've installed Minecraft, you'll need to install a resource pack, in order to create worlds compatible with Ray Tracing; otherwise you will have to install ready-made worlds, on which you can activate the option.

To install a resource pack you will have to follow a few very specific steps, but don't worry, it's simpler than it seems. First go here and click on the link HD Foundational Resource Pack, to download the resource pack developed by NVIDIA for the RTX (if you can't find the link, you can try to download the file directly by clicking here).

After downloading the.zip archive of the resource pack, extract it to a folder of your choice and you will then have access to a folder named HD_Foundational_Resource_Pack: click with the right mouse button on it and select the item Copy give the menu answer.

Now, bring up the panel Run ... Windows by pressing the key combination Win + R (Win is the key with the Windows flag on your PC keyboard), type % userprofile% in the box that appears on the screen and press the button Submit.

A folder will open, inside which you will need to press the key Immagine, placed at the top. Then tick the option Show hidden items and click on the folder AppData, which will appear in the folder list. If you are unable to activate the display of hidden folders, read the guide I have dedicated to the theme.

At this point, go into the sub-folders Local > Packages > Microsoft.MinecraftUWP_8wekyb3d8bbwe > LocalState > games > com.mojang > resource_packs. Once you reach this path, paste the previously unzipped folder (right click > Paste).

Now open Minecraft and fai clic sul tasto Play placed in the center of the screen, then go up Create New. Then click on the option New world, then up Resource Packs and within the menu My packages you should find the Resource Pack you just downloaded. Click Attiva e Crea And that's it.

You have finally created an RTX compatible world, where you can select the option to play with Ray Tracing on. I'll show you how to activate it shortly, in the meantime I'll explain how to play on user-created worlds.

If you intend to download ready-made worlds with the Ray Tracing option enabled, open the game and click the button Marketplace. Then press the key Worlds i went his All worlds.

In the search bar that appears at the top, type "RTX". In this way all the worlds compatible with the option will appear. Some will be free, and you will recognize them by the lettering Free placed at the bottom right, while others will have to be purchased.

To install them, open the one that interests you, finally you just have to press the button Free grey, or on the one corresponding to game coins or euros, and complete your purchase.

Once the installation is complete, which you will be able to follow through a loading bar present on the screen, instead of the button Free o Buy Now, you'll be able to click on that Create this world. Press it and wait a few seconds, then click again Crea to enter.

How to activate RTX in Minecraft

Once you've downloaded a compatible world, or resource pack that allows you to enable Ray Tracing, open the game, click the button Play and select the corresponding world, otherwise create a new one with the downloaded resource pack active.

Once you enter the game screen, Ray Tracing should already be active. Otherwise, to activate the RTX, press the key ESC on your keyboard, then go to voice Settings. On the screen that has appeared, click on the option Video.

Now go all the way down, until you see the setting Ray Tracing: Once you locate it, click on it gray stick placed next to it, then click, in the top left, on the small arrow near the writing Settings; finally click on the option Resume Game.

You can also activate the RTX option through the sub-menu Advanced video. You should see the named option Ray Tracing DirectX, which can be activated through a toggle which can turn green when clicked. From here you can adjust other settings, such as the Render Distance in Ray Tracing and Particle Redirection Distance.

Nothing simpler! The difference with the basic version of the game is remarkable, so now you just have to try it and choose which one you prefer to play.
