Final Fantasy XV: Guide to Earn XP and Level Up Quickly [PS4 - Xbox One - PC]

In this guide we see the best ways to earn experience points and level up fast in Final Fantasy XV.

Don't forget to also consult the Final Fantasy XV cheats and guide tab for other useful guides on this game.

Obviously the main way to earn experience points in Final Fantasy XV (as in all other games in this genre) is by completing missions. True, the main story missions do earn a lot of XP points, but the first thing to keep in mind if you want to develop the characters volecemente is to dedicate yourself to the completion of the secondary quests.

Sidequests give you experience points mainly in two ways: enemies to kill to reach the goal and the final reward for completing the mission. If you are aiming exclusively to earn XP then forget the hunting quests which are the ones that make you earn the least.

To find the side quests in Final Fantasy XV simply look for the yellow question marks on the map. In this regard it is advisable to use the filter to display only the icons relating to these missions, in order to make the map cleaner and therefore easier to consult.

    Don't forget to eat!

This is the foresight that can make a difference in leveling speed in Final Fantasy XV. There are in fact several dishes that increase the amount of experience points obtained. These listed below are i

foods that grant bonuses on ESP points:

    • Stacked Ham Sandwich: +50% EXP (and +200 HP) – Cooked by Ignis. Ingredients are Garula Sirloin, Fire Gighee Ham & Aegir Root.
    • Mother & Child Rice Bowl: +30% EXP (and +50% Drop Rate, +1000 HP) – Cooked by Ignis. Requires Chickatrice Egg, Birdbeast Egg, Saxham Rice.
    • Royal Banquet Canape: +50% EXP (and +75 to Strength/Magic) – Cooked by Ignis. Requires Arapaima Roe, Kettier Ginger and Allural Shallot.
    • Lasagne al Forno: +100 EXP (and +4000 HP) – Cooked by Ignis. Requires cooking level 9 and ingredients Jabberwock
    • Galdin Gratin: +10% EXP (and +50% Strength/Magic, +500 HP) – Mother of Pearl Restaurant @ Galdin Quay
    • Fat Chocobo Triple Decker: +50% EXP (and +400 HP) – Wiz Chocobo outpost after ‘A Feathery Feast’ sidequest
    • Fine Caviar Canape: +50% EXP (and +75 to Strength/Magic) – Maagho, Altissa.
    • Maagho Lasagna: +100 EXP (and +4000 HP) - Maagho, Altissa.

Take advantage of experience point multipliers

As you certainly already know in Final Fantasy XV it is not enough to earn experience points in the ways we have seen above, but after having obtained them you must also "save" them by sleeping in a camp or in a hotel room.

The important thing to note is that each suitable place to sleep grants a multiplier on saved XP points that can go up to 3x if you sleep in expensive hotel rooms like the Suite at the Leville in Altissa.

Obviously this will cost much more in Gil (the game currency) than more modest accommodations, so you decide which bed (and XP multiplier) you can afford.
