NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti: Has the launch been postponed again?

According to reports from Read, NVIDIA would have delayed the launch of its alleged NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti until mid-May. Recent rumors - which also leaked the specs - suggested that the company was preparing to launch the RTX 3080 Ti in mid-April, however it would seem that in reality we will only be able to see it available a month later. This would have been confirmed - according to the source - by the company itself, through an internal note: at the moment, however, nothing has been confirmed, so we invite you to take this information with a grain of salt.

If the rumor turns out to be true, this wouldn't be the first time the launch of the GPU in question has been postponed. The card, which was originally rumored to come as RTX 3080 from 20 GB, was supposed to be launched in December, but NVIDIA is said to have put it off until January, and then again in February. Since then, the SKU received new specifications and a downgrade of memory a 12 GB, and now it looks set to land on the tech market in two months, along with the alleged NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti

In addition to a memory downgrade, recent rumors also suggest that the RTX 3080 Ti will ship with less CUDA cores than previously anticipated, with the company planning to equip the GPU with 10.240 instead of i 10.496 previously mentioned. Following the line of rumors, it would also appear that NVIDIA is planning to limit the crypto-mining capabilities of the upcoming GPU to ensure it ends up exclusively in the hands of gamers.

In relation to this, there is a concrete possibility that the same limiter that debuted together with the GeForce RTX 3060, which means the GPU firmware will be able to detect the type of operations used to mine Ethereum and limit the performance of the graphics card to reduce its mining efficiency accordingly.
