Cook's compensation for the 2022 fiscal year that ended in September was $99,4 million, slightly higher than the $98,7 million he received the prior year, according to a filing with the US SEC. For 2023, the salary target has been set at 49 million, less than half of the total compensation received in 2022.

The changes were approved by the company's compensation committee with Cook's approval, after shareholders expressed their concerns about the size of his compensation, approving less (64%) than a year earlier (95% ) as earned by the top.
"Cook himself asked for an adjustment to his compensation following shareholder concerns," the company said. The CEO has a base salary of $3 million and receives most of his compensation in stock ($13,4 million in other forms of compensation). But the final figure can vary as it did last year: Cook pocketed a total of 99,4 million, of which 83 million from the stock package alone, a figure above the 75 million goal. (All rights reserved)
