In a recent interview i brothers Russo they are back to talk about the highly anticipated Avengers: Endgame. For some time it was rumored that the film would boast an important minute, to be able to give space to the many stories of the various superheroes that we will see on the screen. To date the longest film of the Marvel Cinematic Universe is Avengers: Infinity War with two hours and forty minutes of duration. Endgame, according to its producers it will beat this record, reaching (and most likely surpassing) the 3 total hours. The reason is explained by the Russo brothers themselves:
The firm knows the best story to tell. For now we believe the film is working well and we have had excellent responses from our audience tests. We are still working on it. We're not done yet. This is the culmination of 22 films, there are a lot of stories to tell. For us, emotion is an intrinsic part of this. When you pretend to tell a very complicated story and you expect strong emotional moments with the characters, it takes just the right amount of time. This one in particular seems to take at least three hours.
Please note that Avengers: Endgame will arrive in theaters on April 24th.
