But according to information that has emerged in recent days, the well-known French video game author allegedly made this tough decision following allegations of misconduct in the workplace. Finally Ubisoft has decided to break the delay, confirming to Kotaku's microphones that Ancel is the subject of an ongoing investigation. Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot pledged in July to ensure that any allegation will be subject to investigation, and no one will be outside of this process, not even Michel Ancel. And as Michel himself confirmed to the Liberation journalist, he is under investigation.

Reportedly, the behavior of Ancel when creating Beyond Good & Evil 2 it would be directly related to the troubled development of the game.
