In less than a month the Cannes Festival 2019, and in the last few days the poster of the event has been made official, directly on the facebook page dedicated to the event. The poster will not only have its classic propaganda meaning, but it takes full ownership of the function of symbol and homage, this time towards Agnès Varda, a Belgian director of great depth in Europe, who unfortunately passed away a few weeks ago. Over time, the director has had to deal with the festival several times, not only presenting her films - thirteen to be exact - but also attending as a juror in 2005, and even as president of the Càmera d'or Jury in 2013. The poster , which as always we propose at the bottom of the news, portrays the filmmaker during the shooting of one of her films in 1955, in a very particular position and which at first glance may seem funny (background which was later revealed to be one of the moments of " break "by the director).
Recall that the Cannes Film Festival this year will take place from 14 to 25 May.
