In the bright light of large publishers such as Sony PlayStation or Microsoft, the shadow behind them is growing more and more, which is made up of many small companies that manage to overwhelm media attention - and sales - behind titles edited or acclaimed by the public. However theE3 in Los Angeles is a large stage that offers space for everyone, and Sony's resounding absence this year only adds to it in favor of competitors. The other publishers will be present at E3 with a roundup of titles, some already announced and waiting to be seen, others instead just rumored along with many other hopes.
Capcom
It is useless to deny it: Capcom has literally been reborn from its own ashes (which we can identify in sympathy as Umbrella Corps.) and although there are no real confirmations of titles that will be shown, let's see what we could go towards. The recent remaster of Onimusha leaves little doubt and something is boiling in the pot, but whether it is a sequel or some remake it is difficult to speculate. The renewed focus on the setting of feudal Japan is certainly a factor that insistently re-launches the idea that something around the franchise is moving. There are many hypotheses on Resident Evil: we could expect an announcement on Resident Evil 8 or better, given the huge success of the Resident Evil 2 remake, it is easy to understand how Capcom is also working on the remake of the third chapter - basically something feasible and also in a strictly short time, even recycling much of the work done on the second chapter and using the models of Mr. X to work on the Nemesis - or with some rumors extinguished in a short time that the company wanted to I also work on a Resident Evil Revelations 3. To this we must not forget the pressing media wave that the internet has raised around the desire to play a remake of Dino Crisis. Also put us that Shinji Mikami will be present and although he is no longer in Capcom, there may be some veiled announcement.
The only certainty for Capcom in this E3 will surely be Monster Hunter World: Iceborn, the massive expansion coming October 6, 2019 will surely have some space in this event, to let us foretaste news in terms of monsters, weapons and other features.
Bandai Namco
At Bandai Namco there are no real gems, or at least, of the announced one Dragon Ball Game: Project Z of CyberConnect2 what can we expect? We will most likely see something about instead Code Vein, soulslike from the creators of God Eater due out in late 2019 and we might have an eye on the next one Digimon Survive, tactical action RPG that will try to relaunch the brand in the best way.
The publisher has rights to many other brands, such as Naruto and One Piece, therefore impossible to exclude that they are working on some other title dedicated to these two very popular franchises or to enrich a certain Jump Force fresh out.
Warner Bros.
The videogame division of Warner Bros. it is certainly the one that many are eagerly awaiting as, although we are exempt from official confirmation, unofficially in this E3 they should present themselves with titles of great anticipation and great dusting. Let's start with the very famous game dedicated to the world of Harry Potter, first rumored, then shown in a leaked teaser, of which everyone would have expected the counter-move to officially publish and show the project (instead still nothing to date). It goes without saying, therefore, that this project linked to the magical world of Harry Potter will certainly be unveiled soon. Now or never for Rocksteady: in silence for a long, long time, we fantasized about their new project just by reading their job advertisements. The rumors have been many and imaginative: a game on the Suicide Squad, a game on Superman and with one last rumor concerning the return of the franchise that launched them, that of Batman. Actually after Batman: Arkham Knight, many of us know if this line will continue or not, despite the Bruce Wayne story coming to an end. In this sea of expectations, it is not to be excluded that the studio has been committed to a title outside the DC world, although with the arrival of the Avengers project at the hands of SquareEnix, it is likely that competition between the two characters of the major publishing giants can also continue in the videogame field.
Last, but not least, the news that Monolith Productions is working on a title. New IP? Third chapter of the franchise de Middle-earth? More plausible to expect a production announcement.
Konami
It is useless to hide behind a finger and let's admit it immediately: Konami is not sailing in good waters, or at least in terms of feedback from its audience. The company bills annually more and more of the previous year and immediately after the negative reception a Metal Gear Survive the announcement was dry and decisive: for now, no more Triple A titles. So what to expect from this E3? The usual announcement of the new chapter of PES discipline? Certainly. Then what do we have? Nothing. A rumor wants the relaunch of a collector of Contra. Too little to trust a publisher who has historical brands such as Metal Gear Solid or the late one Silent Hills, and it does not seem to have the resources or people - in terms of experience and quality - capable of carrying out large projects.
THQ Nordic
The publisher has carved out an interesting slice of attention in recent years. Refounded and acquiring other studies (only recently took the boys of Piranha Bytes, which gave birth to the glorious Gothic and to the recent and mediocre Elex), the company is announcing and producing many different titles. They brought back the lost third chapter of Darksiders and the first real official news is the existence of a fourth chapter - the one that, with the premises starting from the first of them, should close the circle - with the temporary title of Darksiders Genesis and will be officially presented during E3. We also expect to see something around Biomutant and also to finally see a release date. In addition, the publisher has announced the start of work on two new titles, one will be a new IP, the second instead an unspecified remake and / or sequel on a galactic saga loved by fans (Destroy all Humans?).
Let's not forget the work already started on titles such as Desperate 3 that we expect to see in some gameplay. In short, in its small way, THQ Nordic could carve out a good slice of attention in this edition of E3.
Focus Home Interactive
Last but not least, Focus thanks to the success of the recent launch World War Z e A Plague Tale, in this edition will try to repeat the attention, almost certainly with The Surge 2: soulslike of exquisite workmanship that seems to have optimized all the mechanics of the first chapter.
Another title they might present is GreedFall, RPG with different genre contaminations that could be interesting, were it not that behind there are the guys from Spiders, certainly good at working on titles like that, but lacking a real light and personality. In short, the risk of the "classic Spiders game" is close, but we are waiting to try to unbalance!
