Crucible: The launch of the title did not start on the right foot

Crucible: The launch of the title did not start on the right foot

A little less than a week after the launch of Crucible, the new free-to-play shooter developed by Amazon Game Studios, the first statistical data emerged regarding the turnout of players for the title in question. Looking at the numbers released by SteamCharts, it is possible to see how the game has absolutely not satisfied the public, registering a peak of just 10.600 players connected at the same time.

Making a comparison with other similar titles, we can see that these data are slightly higher than LawBreakers by Cliff Bleszinski (who registered only 7.480 users) but less than Battleborn by Gearbox Software (which peaked at 12.070 concurrent players during the first week of release).

The 3 titles in question, regardless of the amount of players they have been able to attract, have been reviewed by critics with rather low ratings or have simply not been able to attract an adequate number of players, which further underlines the poor result obtained by Crucible by Amazon Game Studios (our review here). All that remains is to wait and hope for a possible new move by the software house to raise a video game that, cards in hand, had a gigantic potential to be released.
