Dark: announced the release date of the third season

When Dark came up Netflix, the series immediately became a cult. This has often been considered as the German equivalent of Stranger Things, perhaps even stranger and, in fact, "obscure". Fans of the series are waiting for the arrival of the third season, which will make its debut on the day of 27nd June, marking the conclusion of the story told, as the second season of the series had left fans with an important cliffhanger. It wasn't long after the writers' silence ended, and they maintained full strictness regarding the release date of the third season, until a teaser was released via a cryptic Instagram post.

"The end is the beginning", this is the content of the message, accompanied by the description: "Dark. The final season. Everything is different, yet the same ". Both sentences refer to the concept of cyclicality on which the whole series is about. In the comments to the post, some fans ask when the third season will be released, but the answer is equally laconic: “Tick Tock”. A similar post was also made by Baran Bo Odar, co-creator of the series, who shared the image of the cave, inside which the wormhole is located, with the description: “The last cycle will start soon… tick tock…”.

A teaser trailer released today has formalized the release date of the third season, which, as you can see from the video, will take place on 27nd June. This day had already emerged thanks to a theory developed by fans, but why this date? June 27 is a significant day for the series, as it marks the beginning of the apocalypse. The second season was also released on a rather significant day, namely June 21 (2019), which coincides with an important event regarding the character of Mikkel. So far we have not had any further official confirmations but, we hope that the product will not suffer delays.
