Dark Souls 3 will hit 60fps on PS5 but not Xbox Series X

Dark Souls 3 will hit 60fps on PS5 but not Xbox Series X

Despite Xbox Series X is a pretty powerful and focused console backward compatibility, it appears that some older titles will perform better on PlayStation 5. One of these games will be Dark Souls 3. According to what was revealed by the modder and YouTuber Lance McDonald, which has tested the game on the next generation consoles, it seems that the title of FromSoftware manage to reach the 60 fps su PS5 but at the same time it remains stuck at 30 fps on Xbox Series X. It is not excluded that the title may receive a patch in the future, but in the current state of affairs it is not possible to play 60 fps Dark Souls 3 on the console Microsoft products.

A game that, however, will continue to not reach 60 fps even on PlayStation 5 will be Bloodborne, another title of From. In fact, it seems that the game in question will work exactly like on PS4, that is, at 30 fps and with poor frame pacing. The aforementioned McDonald however managed to get Bloodborne to work at 60 fps via an unofficial patch, which has not yet been released, waiting to see if Sony would first offer an official update to fix the problem. Given the situation, it seems that hours the modder is finally willing to release it to players.

Okay, embargo is up and I'm allowed to talk about PlayStation 5 back compat now. All I have to say is Sekiro is 60fps, Dark Souks 3 is 60fps (it's locked at 30 on Xbox Series X, rip), and Bloodborne is still 30fps with bad frame pacing. ✌️
