Deathloop and Ghostwire: Tokyo will be PS5 temporary exclusives

Deathloop and Ghostwire: Tokyo will be PS5 temporary exclusives

Bethesda Softworks revealed two very special titles during the event dedicated to PlayStation 5. The first was Deathloop, who it has a truly spectacular artistic direction, well combined with a fast-paced shooting gameplay. The game will put us in the shoes of Colt, an assassin who stuck in a time loop where he will be forced to die, die and die. To escape from this loop will have to kill eight people, but it won't be easy, as the gang named Blackreef will try to stop him at any cost. Developed by Arkane Studios (known for Dishonored and Prey), Deathloop will be launched as a temporary exclusive on PlayStation 5 and PC, later arriving on Xbox Series X.

Instead, the second title shown was the long-awaited Ghostwire: Tokyo That Se at the start it seemed like an adventure based more on immersion and mystery, it turned out to be a really fast-paced first-person action game, in which we will have to free a Tokyo full of ghosts. Shinji Mikami's studio, Tango Gameworks he really wanted to part with his previous works, like The Evil Within. The title should be released during 2021 for PlayStation 5 and PC, also this title will arrive only later on the Xbox Series X.

This seems to be be a new commercial ploy from Sony, given that if during the life cycle of the PlayStation 4 he tried to keep all the exclusives tight, now it seems that he definitely wants to have exclusive titles, but only for a certain period of time, so it's not a Bethesda-bound move. Suffice it see already the cases of Final Fantasy VII Remake and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered, or the fact that many of the company's flagship exclusives have arrived on PC (think hat-trick Quantic Dream: Heavy Rain, Beyond Two Souls and Detroit: Become Human) or they'll come, like Horizon Zero Dawn. Apparently it seems counterproductive, since in the end the power of Sony's eighth-generation console has been summed up in mind-blowing exclusives, which many PC or Xbox gamers “miss”. We'll see what Sony has in mind and if there are any “real” exclusives for PlayStation 5, for now, as always for a newborn console, the number is still small.
