Doctor Who: Amy Pond's diary in the short The Raggedy Doctor

The ex-showrunner of Doctor Who, Steven Moffat has released an animated short for the many fans around the world who are taking advantage of this period in quarantine to make a rewatch of the series. In particular, in the collective organized by fans, to precede the first episode of the fifth season - and therefore the first season of Matt Smith as the Doctor - Moffat published The Raggedy Doctor, an animated short about meeting the Eleventh Doctor from the point of view of a little Amy Pond.

The short is narrated by Caitlin Blackwood (the actress who plays Amy Pond as a child) and is set as a real diary, where Amy tells about her meeting with the Doctor and the beginning of their friendship, through the animations of Sophie Iles. As highlighted in the video, the short was entirely produced during the quarantine which is forcing more and more people around the world to stay at home due to the Coronavirus emergency.

In the scene it also refers to Rory Williams and Mels, that is River Song before it regenerated and its true identity was discovered. This is just one of the many videos that the team of Doctor Who has chosen to publish in recent weeks, with the intention of encouraging the large community to keep company and give each other strength in this bad period.
