Ghostwire Tokyo: Shinji Mikami talks about the development of the title

After working on The Evil Within 2, Tango Gameworks is now working on Ghostwire tokyo, Shinji Mikami, legendary developer best known for creating the survival horror saga Resident Evil, is working as a producer on the project, which means that while we haven't seen next to anything in the game yet, it seems worth getting excited about. In a recent interview with IGN, Mikami talked about the development of Ghostwire tokyo, in particular of its origins and the ideas behind it. According to Mikami's statements, the roots of the title derive from an idea that the former director Ikumi Nakamura had, then picked up by a team that slowly linked ideas to start working more broadly.

The initial team was made up of only about people and we worked on it for six months. Only later did we extend it to ten people and worked on it for a few years before moving on to full production.

At the moment we don't have much information on the title, and the only news available on Ghostwire tokyo is that it is in development at the Tango Gameworks, software house creator of the The Evil Within, and which is expected to be released in the course of 2021 on PS4PS5Xbox One, Xbox Series X e PC.
