Half-Life 2: Writer Eric Wolpaw has returned to work for Valve

After leaving the company in 2017, one of the writers of Half-Life 2 and Portal, Eric Wolpaw is back to work for Valve. The departure had occurred in conjunction with that of two other writers, Marc Laidlaw and Jay Pinkerton. The latter, however, returned to Valve during 2018. Confirmation of the renewed collaboration between the studio and Wolpaw was disseminated on various social media, where an image of an email from Gabe Newell, co-founder and CEO of Valve, circulated. Half-Life 2: Writer Eric Wolpaw has returned to work for Valve

The definitive confirmation finally came with the credits of Artifact, among which the name of Wolpaw was ticked. Rumors suggest that Eric Wolpaw's return may be a clue to the possible arrival of Half-life VR, but Valve did not specify which titles it is currently working on. Someone still hopes it is Half-Life 3 (as a direct sequel to Half-Life 2), while others lean towards the arrival of a new Portal, but to find out more we will have to wait for official news from the developers.
