The night of Halloween 2020 is almost upon us, and what could be better than spending this terrifying night in the company of a handful of brave adventurers like you? Although the Halloween party is not part of our tradition, the Anglo-Saxon "friends" have been good at to bring this important holiday of theirs over the sleeve, which over the years has become a fixture for macabre themed parties and evenings. Precisely for this reason, we have decided to select not one but well five board games that are just right for this holiday. Without too much delay, let's go immediately to present the first of the five titles:
Tales of Evil
Tales of Evil is a title from 1 to 6 players, who will have to play the role of a group of boys called Pizza & Investigation. Over the course of the different adventures, players will have to travel through dark places, face terrible creatures with the intent both to hunt the forces of evil, and to stay alive. Investigators will have to use all their strength and wits to stop the demons they meet along the way, but the thing that characterizes this product the most is the decision-making part. The game will be distributed by Asmodee. Each choice made by the players will modify the events of the campaign, thus making each run even more fun. Are you ready to drive out the forces of evil?
Mansions of Madness (Second Edition)
This is a horror and mystery-filled board game, completely based on the cooperation that goes from one to five players. Users will immerse themselves in a setting taken from the horror and mystical universe of Eldritch Horror e Elder Sign. In The Houses of Madness you will have the support of a magnificent mobile application, with which the developers have chosen to guide players through the veiled streets of Innsmouth and the haunted corridors of the cursed Dimore of Arkham while the answers to the many riddles are sought. Eight brave investigators they are ready to face four scenarios of fear and mystery, collecting weapons, tools and information, solving complex puzzles and battling monsters, madness and death.
Zombicide: Black Plague
Among the titles that absolutely must not be missing during the night of Halloween there definitely is Zombicide. We decided to recommend you though Black Plague among all because it is the medieval setting, which fits perfectly with this holiday. With Black Plague you will find all the essential dynamics of Zombicide, therefore the advent of an apocalypse, monsters to fight and a lot of cooperation. A very powerful Necromancer has unleashed a zombie invasion, a group of survivors will take care of defending the kingdom and they will have to defeat the person responsible. Are you ready to fight with a sword, a shield and a little bit of magic?
Nightfell
Humans, goblins, ethereal and nocturnal this and much more is the bleak world of Nightfell:
The world has fallen on a perennial night, the sun no longer shines higher and prouder, and the only things that shine in the sky during daylight hours are only pale astral fires or distant celestial bodies. This disastrous calamity has destroyed the beauty of the world as the few surviving inhabitants from the last sun to today knew it, living with the hope of not falling under the greed of evil spirits.
With this magnificent setting, capable Masters can put their company through a terrifying evening of terror and fear. The Quickstart of the title is currently available, after it has finished its successful campaign Kickstarter.
The Call of Cthulhu
We can practically call it an evergreen, but on these occasions how can we not mention one of the titles inspired by the cycle of Myths created by Howard Phillips Lovecraft? In this work, players will be able to travel among tons of terrifying creatures, in a setting that tastes like science fiction, but that mixes one truly amazing creativity. The system is really very simple, which is why we believe it is suitable to take and play during the witches' night. Are you ready to sacrifice your souls?
