Making money online seems so easy that you too thought to give it a try. And then, with an entirely electronic account like that of PayPal that you recently opened, everything should be even simpler… right? Right? Well, that's actually not quite the case.
Making money from the businesses you see promoted on many Internet sites is much more difficult than it seems. Scam offers abound, and in general, it's impossible for anyone to offer you significant sums for nothing or little effort. The good news, however, is that it is still possible to earn online and, if desired, credit the amount collected to PayPal.

Preliminary operation

If you haven't already done so, connect to the main page of the service and click on the button Sign Up, top right. As you can see, you are offered the possibility to open two types of accounts: one personal and one business.
In the first case you will be able to carry out the simplest operations, such as sending and receiving money, and therefore also managing some online activities that will allow you to earn money. In the second case, therefore with the business account, you will have a more complete tool for financial transactions, ideal for e-commerce and other companies, which, not surprisingly, can be registered under a company name.
Then proceed to create your account, as explained in my tutorial on how to open a PayPal account: in a few minutes you will have your account ready for use. Then remember to verify your account by linking a card or account to it. The procedure provides for a small debit or credit and verification of the operation by typing in a code present in the description of the same.
I also want to remind you that basic transactions, such as buying and sending money, are free, but sales and receiving money are subject to fees. commissions. You can find the summary of the costs associated with the various movements on this page.
Finally, it is worth talking about safeguards that PayPal gives both to sellers and buyers, to avoid scams or economic damages deriving from non-payments. How to make money on paypal
Once you've opened a PayPal account, what can you do to start cashing out? Below I will show you some possibilities available to you: from the sale of used items to the opening of a real e-commerce. You are spoiled for choice but, again, remember that no one will give you anything: to get good amounts of money, you will have to sell good products or services and be good at promoting yourself!
I will sell products online on eBay
eBay I don't think it needs too many introductions: it's a historic auction site that now allows you to sell both used and new items (not necessarily through auction), with the possibility of opening a professional shop as well. Use PayPal as your primary payment method.
If you remember, I already told you about how to sell on eBay in one of my guides some time ago. You can follow the advice I gave you on that occasion to open a profile on the portal and make the most of it for your purposes.
I advise you to pay attention to rates applied and the possibilities of gaining visibility for your offers. Already with a normal user profile you have up to 150 free advertisements available every month, which increase if you register as professional seller.
A shop is an interesting opportunity to make money online, but you will have to cultivate it. eBay offers you additional paid services, such as sponsored ads, to help you gain visibility and reach a greater number of customers. Plus, with an eBay store, you also have tools to analyze and summarize your performance.
What about PayPal? You will use it to manage sales. It's not the only method you can use to receive payments, it's true: the alternatives are direct debit on a current account or credit card. However, PayPal is practical and reliable, especially if you want to sell abroad, and it is also necessary to open an eBay shop in the basic version.
eBay doesn't charge commissions on transactions made via PayPal, but if you remember what I told you at the beginning, it's PayPal that charges you a small percentage of the amount when you receive money. In any case, to link your PayPal account to your eBay account is enough indicate it as a payment method and, indeed, set it as the preferred system in your ads.
Selling products online on classifieds sites
Another possibility to earn money online is that of classifieds sites. There are many, more or less reliable, and their main function is to put you in communication with your potential customers. Or, perhaps, with potential employers. Yes, because you can also take advantage of the various virtual bulletin boards to look for some work to get paid, perhaps via PayPal.
My advice is to go to the best known sites, such as Subito.it, which allow you to enter free advertisements and freely choose the systems to accept as payment, including PayPal. To highlight your ads and increase the chances of selling, however, there are extra services that require the payment of small sums of money.

Open an ecommerce
What I have shown you so far are the basic options for earning online, which just allow you to "round up your salary". If you are aiming for something more demanding and, above all, more profitable, you must evaluate the possibility of opening a ecommerce real. It may seem like too big a step now, but you'll see that you don't need much to get started: you just need a good idea of what to propose, how to do it and a lot of good will.
Until a few years ago, opening an ecommerce meant creating your own website, perhaps writing the code yourself or paying an agency to do it. In the case of e-commerce, then, it was necessary to guarantee the security of transactions: a very delicate issue.
Things have certainly changed, and now you can also turn to specialized services to obtain a practically "turnkey" store with a minimum investment, such as Shopify.
In fact, it offers a collection management system, the product catalog and, in short, all the functions needed in an online store. It allows you to use your PayPal account to collect money from sales and speed up economic transactions with customers, ensuring their safety.
Request money
PayPal offers a handy function for request money from other users who have an account on the platform: it is not a system for earning money constantly, but a useful option for managing one's transactions, yes.
You can request money to get paid for a job, performance or service that you have performed online or for which you already have an agreement or, again, to settle miscellaneous expenses made on behalf of family members and acquaintances. If you have not yet verified your PayPal account and removed the usage limits, however, you will be able to receive a maximum of €2.500 per year.
The procedure to follow is quite simple, and you will only need a few data of the person or company to request payment from. For example, if you are using the computer. connected to the PayPal main page and enter your login credentials, after clicking on the button Log in located at the top right.
After logging in, click the button Request. In this way you will be able to indicate the applicant both by entering his own email address, both indicating the telephone number or PayPal username. You can request payment up to a maximum of 20 people simultaneously. After completing this field, click the button NEXTto proceed with the request.
You will need to enter the amount to request and the currency, if it is different from the default (but in this case you will pay a commission for the conversion). You also have the option to split the amount if there are multiple recipients. I advise you to fill in the field Message: represents a bit the reason for your request. Click the button Send the request, to complete the procedure.
The recipient will simply have to click on the link received and follow the few steps that will allow him to make the payment in complete safety. Once the payment has been made, you will receive an email notification of the transaction. In some cases, you'll be asked to accept the payment before it's actually released to your account.
If you're using a smartphone or tablet, it may be useful to perform this procedure with the PayPal app. The app is available for both Android and iPhone and iPad. Once installed, you will always have your virtual account at your fingertips. You will find the button Request on the main screen of the application, at the bottom.
On first use, you will be prompted to synchronize your contacts in order to speed up operations. You can skip this step if you want and go directly to the screen from which to manage the request. As you can see, it doesn't change much from what you just saw for the computer procedure (but there are emojis to use in the message!).

How to make money on PayPal for free
As already mentioned above, there are many scam apps and websites on the Web that promise stratospheric earnings while comfortably lying on the sofa. You have to stay away from them absolutely.
There are, however, legitimate solutions that actually allow you to earn money on paypal for free, that is without selling anything or carrying out real jobs, but which clearly allow you to take home only a few coins. If you're interested in this, I'll list a few below.
Make money with online surveys
Participate in surveys (so-called panel) is one of the main activities to earn on PayPal without doing too much work. There are many opportunities in this sense but, even in this case, be careful what you find and keep in mind that there is no need to become a millionaire in a few days.
Payment can be made in vouchers or directly to your PayPal account. The sites I just mentioned have a virtual scoring system tied to the surveys you fill out. Each survey allows you to earn a number of points which varies according to the complexity or simply the type of survey.
Upon reaching one minimum point threshold, you can redeem them by converting them into cash to be deposited in your PayPal account or into purchase vouchers. In the latter case, you will be able to directly use the nest egg accumulated on the affiliated virtual shops, for example Amazon or Zalando.
Make money with other online jobs
The opportunities on the Internet don't stop at surveys, and there are many other odd jobs you can do for a paycheck to PayPal. There are specialized services and applications that allow you to put some of your time and your ingenuity at the disposal of making some money.
Also in this case, a small commitment will correspond to a small amount (but this testifies to the reliability of these solutions). The only thing you need to watch out for are apps that display invasive advertising banners and end up slowing down your smartphone: in those cases, the game isn't worth the candle and there are also unnecessary risks for privacy.
Of course, if you really want to get to work, the Internet is a mine and you can find many other possibilities. For remote jobs, you'll need to indicate how payouts are credited, and PayPal is a secure and convenient option. You can then take a tour of the main ones job search portals to find the one that best suits what you want and know how to do.
If your specialties are in the creative or IT branch, for example, you can register with specialized services such as Freelancer. Naturally you will need to take good care of your profile and register for offers that are more in line with your skills, but you could find valid opportunities.
