If you constantly receive help from your friends or clients, on how to do certain tasks on your computer, one of the ways you can use to give them a hand is to create a video recording everything that happens on the desktop of your operating system. Thanks to VirtualBox we can also do it with a virtual operating system.

If we want to change the final aspect of the captured video, we select the Settings of the virtual machine.
From here we can change the path where to save the video file, it is only in webm format but a player like VLC opens it without problems, its resolution, speed and quality, as well as enabling the virtual machine audio recording.
If we flag the Enable video capture box, this will start immediately when the virtual machine loads.
Once you have changed the configuration and started the virtual machine, all you have to do is go to View and Video Capture to start recording your desktop.
Once the recording has started you will see a wheel spinning in the lower part of the screen, to stop it you can click on it with the right mouse button, then choose Video Capture, or go back to the View and Video Capture menu.
