Buttons for taking screenshots Samsung

How to screenshot Samsung

To begin with, I want to tell you how to capture screen on Samsung devices using i keys present on the latter.

First, go to the screen you want to "take a picture", then use the following key combination: Power key + Volume down key. If that doesn't work, you can try this other key combination: Power key + Home key.

In case you don't know, the power key is, as the name suggests, the one used to turn on the device and which is used to activate and deactivate the display: usually, it is located on the right side. The volume down key is instead what you use to lower the volume of your smartphone: generally, it is located on the left side of the device, towards the bottom. Finally, the Home key is the central one located under the screen of older models (which do not have the front part occupied only by the screen).

The keys must be pressed simultaneously and you must continue to hold them down for a few seconds, until the smartphone display flashes and a is issued sound similar to that of the flash of old cameras (if the ringtone is enabled).

Once taken, screenshots are automatically saved and you can view them through the app Gallery, starting the latter, selecting the relative one icon (Quella with il flower) that you find on the home screen and/or in the Android drawer, by going to the section Album of it and selecting the named album Screenshots.

Right after each screen capture, Samsung smartphones display a screenshot toolbar where you can share the captured image, as well as edit or delete it. So, to edit a screenshot immediately after capturing it, all you have to do is wait for yours to appear preview at the top of the screen and press the buttons on the toolbar corresponding to the action you wish to take.

As an alternative to how I just indicated — or if you're using an old-fashioned Samsung smartphone on which the screenshot preview and toolbar are not shown —, you can edit the screenshots created with your device by accessing the notification center of Android with a swipe from top to bottom, tapping on notifies relating to the screen just acquired and pressing on keys to edit, share or delete the "photograph" of the screen, depending on the operations you intend to perform.

You need to catch one screenshot “lungo”, for example of a web page in its entirety? In that case, instead of taking multiple screenshots as I just pointed out, you can take a screenshot while scrolling and get a single long photo. To do this, you just need to use the function Smart capture, by tapping on the relative icon (Quella with the double arrow inside the square with the corners highlighted) that you find on the toolbar that you see appearing immediately after taking a screenshot.

Note that the Smart Capture command is only shown if you're viewing a long, scrollable screen. Furthermore, in order to take advantage of it, it is essential that the relative option is enabled in the Android settings. To do this, select the icon of Settings (Quella a forma di ruota d'ingranaggio) that you find on the home screen and/or in the drawer, touch the wording Advanced features on the next screen and check that the switch next to the entry Smart capture is set to ON (otherwise you provide).

You can also take screenshots on Samsung using certain gestures, thus avoiding having to use the key combination. You ask me how to do it? I'll tell you right away!

If so, you can take your screenshots by simply reaching for the screen you want to "snapshot" and swiping the hand edge on the screen, dragging the side of the palm over half of the screen and maintaining contact with the screen at all times. Simpler than that?

Once the acquisition has taken place, also in this case the smartphone display flashes, a is issued sound similar to that of the flash of old cameras (if the ringtone is enabled) and the image is saved in the Gallery of Android and possibly can be modified using the options attached to the toolbar which appears later, proceeding as I explained in the previous step.

However, it must be taken into account that not all Samsung smartphone models allow you to do this and that before you can use the aforementioned function, you must make sure that it is active in the device settings. To do this, select the icon of Settings(Quella a forma di ruota d'ingranaggio) that you find on the home screen and/or in the drawer, tap on the item Advanced features on the next screen and check that the switch next to the entry Scan with palm drag is set to ON (otherwise you provide).
