How to take a screenshot in Ubuntu
Have you just installed your first Linux operating system and would like to find out how to save a screen quickly? Let's see together how to save screenshots or pieces of windows on Ubuntu:
1) To perform the operation, simply press the "Print" key on the keyboard. The system will automatically acquire an image of your screen in .png format and a small window will open in which you can choose the folder where to save the newly created file.
2) If your keyboard doesn't have the key "Stamp” do not despair! Indeed, there is another way (a little longer) to capture your screen.
In fact, in all the most recent Ubuntu distributions there is a real application that will allow you to save your desktop (take a screenshot in Ubuntu)
3) Open the Ubuntu main menu and find the application called “Screen Capture”, writing its name on the search bar (also called finder).
4) Once open the application (installed by default on the system) just click on “Capture screen” (screenshot in Ubuntu) and choose where to save the screenshot.
In this section you can choose whether to capture "the whole screen", or you can choose whether to take a screenshot of Ubuntu only from the "current window". If you are more demanding, you can even decide to select the area to capture manually (with the mouse pointer). If you have particular "temporal" needs, you can even decide to set the image capture after a well-defined interval of seconds, so as to be able to position the images on the screen in the best possible way. Easy, right?
