    Although it is not an operation that is often felt necessary, occasionally it can happen that you want to capture the page of an e-book read on the Kindle and share it online, on a blog or on a social network. But how do you do it, exactly? We'll explain it to you right away. Here you are how to take screenshot on all kindle models and how to recover the obtained images.

    How to take screenshots on all Kindle models
    • Kindle (o Kindle Touch) – hold down the Home key and press anywhere on the screen. To recover the screenshots, you have to connect the device to the computer.
    • Kindle Keyboard (Kindle 3 e DX) – Press the Alt-Shift-G key combination on your keyboard. Images are kept in the Documents folder. To retrieve them, you need to connect the player to your computer.
    • Kindle Fire 2 and Kindle Fire HD (with volume keys) – press the Volume Down and Power keys at the same time. Access the Photos app to retrieve screenshots.
    • Kindle Fire (older models without volume buttons) – connect the device to the computer, install the Kindle SDK on the PC and take the screenshot in the development environment. Full instructions here.
    • Kindle App (various platforms) – those who have the Kindle app installed on their smartphone or tablet can take screenshots following the standard procedure for the device in use. For example, on iPhone/iPad just press the Power and Home buttons at the same time.
    • Kindle Paperwhite – to capture screenshots on Kindle Paperwhites, simultaneously press two corners of the screen (e.g. top right and bottom left) as shown in the video below. To recover the images, you have to use your computer.
