Fox Searchlight released the second full trailer of Jojo Rabbit, particular and new film directed and starring Taika Waititi who will play the role of an imaginary version of Hitler. The film will premiere at the Toronto Film Festival and will follow classic theatrical distribution thereafter. The film will tell the story of a child who was injured in the training sessions of the Hitler youth to which he is enrolled, stays in bed and there he will imagine a sweetened and personal version of the German dictator.
At the same time he will also discover that his mother has hidden a Jewish girl and when he discovers her, the boy will be pervaded by many doubts, such as love for his family and loyalty to his homeland.
The film will be released in US theaters on October 18, 2019
