Packaging

The Lenovo Legion Y530 is contained inside a beautiful box with very generous dimensions, which allows you to contain the computer in an adequately safe way, thus protecting it from any damage due to accidental impacts. Inside we obviously find the laptop, enclosed in a polystyrene book case and, in a compartment located in the lower part of the box, the power supply and its extension are inserted.

Design

Lenovo Legion Y530 offers us a very simple, but at the same time fascinating design. At first glance it may seem like a classic office computer, but the large LEGION lettering on the left side of the screen cover suggests a whole other use. This laptop offers us a considerable number of useful inputs both for everyday life and for long gaming sessions in the company of the most varied accessories; on the back there are in fact a USB Type-C port, a Mini DisplayPort 1.4, a USB 3.1 Type-A port, an HDMI 2.0, an Ethernet RJ-45 and the input for the power supply. On the right side we also find one, while on the left there are the 3,5mm audio jack and an additional USB 3.1 Type-A port. Lenovo Legion Y530 is also quite light, in fact it weighs a total of 2,3 kg; in short, not really a featherweight, but it is not even a heavyweight.Lenovo Legion Y530 - Review of the gaming laptop with a 144Hz screen

Performance

Lenovo Legion Y530 is certainly an excellent product for both everyday use that for long gaming sessions, allowing the player to experience the latest titles on the market without compromising too much with the graphics quality. Testing it with titles like Rise of Tomb Raider, Rainbow Six: Siege and The Witcher 3 with details set to High, the result is really satisfying, with stable FPS around 40 FPS (going down a little to compromises you can easily get to 60-80 FPS). The Full HD IPS screen with 144Hz refresh rate is a real godsend and, even if it would have given its best with a 120 FPS configuration, it proves decisive in all those games where a few milliseconds represent the boundary between life and death.Lenovo Legion Y530 - Review of the gaming laptop with a 144Hz screen

The autonomy of this laptop in normal situations, such as web browsing or the use of low-performance programs, it reaches three hours and a half, but if instead we want to play without connecting the laptop to the power supply, its autonomy drops a lot, barely reaching just over an hour game. Despite its power and electrical consumption, the Lenovo Legion Y530 turns out to be well ventilated and rather quiet, always leaving the body at an acceptable temperature

Price

The version we tested of Lenovo Legion Y530 can be purchased at € 1249,00 on Amazon, but a cheaper version is available from 899 euros. We are faced with a product with excellent features without an exaggerated price, which can easily be used for video games or to present your project in the workplace.
