In Marvel Vs Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds it is possible to unlock 4 extra characters simply by reaching certain thresholds of player points.

Points can be unlocked by playing in arcade mode, online battles and training. If you want to accumulate points faster, the advice is to throw yourself into arcade mode at the easier level as completing it at the more difficult level will always earn the same amount of points. Below you will find the list of these characters and the relative points to accumulate in order to unlock them:

Akuma - 2000 points
Hsien-Ko - 6000 points
Sentinel - 4000 points
Taskmaster - 8000 points
