    Bad news for fans of Metroid Prime 4. With a video message on the Facebook page of Nintendo Switch, the Senior Managing Executive Officer Shinya Takahashi announced that the development of the title has had to suffer a heavy setback. In the press release, Takahashi explained how at the moment the results obtained do not meet Nintendo's quality standards and that for this reason it was decided to entrust the development to the studio that produced the first series of Metroid, which however will be forced to start the work all over again. . These are the words of Shinya Takahashi:



    We have determined that the current state of the game is not satisfactory and we had to make a very difficult decision. We have decided to review the entire development structure and modify it.     The collaboration with Retro Stuidos he convinced Nintendo that you will be able to get a Metroid Prime 4 up to the expectations of the many fans who await him. Takahashi has also been very sorry for the considerable delays that this decision will entail both in terms of development and in view of the publication of the game. Sincerely apologizing, he continued:

    We will probably not be able to provide you with updates for some time, as the development of the game will take a long time. However, we will continue to work hard to ensure that, once completed, this title can prove fully worthy of being part of the Metroid Prime series.



    The wait for Metroid Prime 4 it has therefore lengthened and we cannot know when the video game will be completed. A great disappointment for many, but one that gives hope for better results for the future.
