Nintendo Direct February 13: here are all the announcements!

With the usual frenzied pace, the Nintendo Direct of 13 February has flooded us with announcements, including unreleased titles and launch dates for games that we have been looking forward to for some time. Let's find out together all the news coming for Nintendo Switch, therefore!

Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order

The Action RPG currently under development at Team Ninja studios was the first to show up in Direct. We do not have a precise launch date yet, but at least now we know the indicative period of the debut, which should take place by the summer of 2019. The players will be called to save the world from the evil Thanos and the Black Order, creating a winning team between Marvel superheroes, Avengers and Guardians of the Galaxy.

The title can be played offline and online, up to a maximum of 4 players on a single screen, or using multiple consoles. Alliance 3 will support the Nintendo Switch Pro Controller.

Box Boy + Box Girl

After the three chapters published on Nintendo 3DS, the original puzzle game developed by HAL Laboratories is preparing to return, this time on Nintendo Switch, with local multiplayer up to 2 players, and a load of 270 stages! The title will be sold exclusively in digital format, on the pages of the Nintendo eShop, starting next April 26th.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

Available on Switch from December 7th, Nintendo today announced new Amiibo coming to its insane fighting game Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. The Pokémon Trainer will be joined by the creatures Ivysaur and Squirtle! We do not yet know when, exactly, because the Japanese Software House has only indicated (as you can see for yourself from the image, a generic "2019".

Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker

Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker updates on Switch, totally free! From tomorrow, February 14, it will finally be possible to play in two at the same time, in co-op mode, and the second player will be able to actively participate in the treasure hunt (and not just acting as an "assistant", as had happened up to now). In addition, Nintendo has revealed that a new paid update will be available in the coming weeks, with 18 new characters and 5 new curses.

Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night

Nintendo has confirmed that Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night, from the creators of Castlevania, will see the light by next summer, and no later than. No precise launch date communicated, but it is already something! The title should have been released in 2018, but the developers preferred to postpone the launch to ensure higher quality of the final product.

Dragon Quest XI Definitive Edition and Dragon Quest Builders 2

Great news for fans of the fantasy world of the Dragon Quest series, by Square Enix. Through Nintendo Direct, the Definitive Edition of Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of a Lost Age has been announced, with orchestrated soundtrack, dubbing in Japanese (for the first time) and the ability to play with a 16-bit graphic style in any time! The Definitive Edition of the eleventh chapter will be available during the fall of this year. On July 12, however, Dragon Quest Builders 2 will be released, in both physical and digital format, with support for co-op, first-person view and, of course, many new levels and unreleased missions.

Fire Emblem: Three Houses

5 minutes of video to show all the features of Fire Emblem: Three Houses, announced today on the occasion of Nintendo Direct. To bring them all back, a separate special would be needed, but know one thing: the release date has finally been announced! The title will debut on July 26th, obviously on Nintendo Switch!

Tetris 99

Tetris 99 is available today, free of charge for all subscribers to the Nintendo Switch Online service. The historic puzzle-game is presented in a new version exclusively on online competition against other players. We do not yet know how it will work in detail, but it seems that the game will allow 99 players to compete simultaneously, to decree only one winner. Sounds crazy, we love it!

Dead by Daylight

The very bad Dead by Daylight has been announced for Nintendo Switch: it is a third-person horror-game with 4 vs 1 online multiplayer mode, in which the player is asked to take on the role of a serial killer, while the other four players , guess what ... that's right, it will be the victims who will have to escape from the insane criminal! The title, in development at Behavior Interactive studios, will be released later this year.

Deltarune: Chapter 1

Undertale's spiritual sequel, Deltarune, will make its Nintendo e-Shop debut on February 28th, offering players Chapter 1 for free. The game's creator, Toby Fox, has stated in the past that he doesn't quite know how. identify Deltarune, if a direct sequel to Undertale or a video game belonging to an alternate universe. If in doubt, we will play it!

Daemon X Machina

The adrenaline-pumping Daemon X Machina, developed in collaboration between Nintendo and Marvelous, under the supervision of Designer Shoji Kawamori, will soon be playable in the form of a Demo on the Nintendo eShop pages. No launch date has yet been announced by Nintendo, but among the contents of the Demo it has already been revealed that it will be possible to face 4 missions and a Boss.

ATP Challenger Tour

Feral Interactive, on the occasion of Nintendo Direct, announced GRID Autosport in the Nintendo Switch version! The title will be available by next summer and will offer a Destruction Derby mode! This is the first racing title for the small Nintendo hybrid console not belonging to the arcade genre.

Hellblade Senua's Sacrifice

The adventure developed by Ninja Theory, Hellblade Senua's Sacrifice, will see the light on Nintendo Switch next Spring. The title was originally released on PlayStation 4 and PC in 2017, before making its debut on Xbox One in April 2018. The adventure is set in the era of the Vikings and tells the story of the warrior Senua, intent on saving the soul of his lost love.

Mortal Kombat 11

Mortal Kombat 23, the new chapter of the videogame series developed by NetherRealm Studios, will also be available on Nintendo Switch on April 4, as well as on PC, Ps11 and Xbox One. Once again Scorpion will be among the absolute protagonists of the game, which proves to be more violent than ever.

Unravel Two

The ingenious puzzle-game developed by ColdWood Interactive, already available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC, will make its debut on the Nintendo Switch on March 22, with co-op mode for 2 players obviously included. It has not yet been specified whether the title will also be released in physical format, as well as digitally on the pages of the Nintendo eShop.

Assassin's Creed III Remastered

The remastered version of Assassin's Creed III will see the light on Nintendo Switch on May 21 and will offer, as for the other versions of the title, all the DLCs published subsequently by Ubisoft. In addition, the "package" will also include Assassin's Creed Liberation Remastered, a spin-off created and developed by Ubisoft Sofia and Ubisoft in October 2012.

Final Fantasy VII

The seventh and legendary chapter of the JRPG Final Fantasy fantasy saga, developed by Square Enix, certainly needs no introduction. The title will finally arrive on the small Nintendo hybrid console starting from next March 26th!

Final Fantasy IX

OK, this is really a bombshell, and we wanted to keep it for the end: Square Enix has already made Final Fantasy IX available (right from the end of Nintendo Direct) on the Nintendo eShop! No need to add anything else, because surely you have already run to download it!

Super Mario Maker 2

Super Mario Maker 2 will be available on Switch starting June this year, following on from the crazy platform / level editor dedicated to the legendary Nintendo icon, Super Mario! We dare not imagine how many levels will be created and made available to the Community… and how bad they will be!

Oninaki

RPG Oninaki, developed by the creators of Lost Sphear and I Am Setsuna, was first unveiled in action at the latest Nintendo Direct. The title will be released this summer on Nintendo Switch and already shows a particularly inspired graphic style and decidedly action scenes. Masterpiece in sight ?!

The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening

The classic title The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening, originally released on Game Boy, is ready to shine again on Nintendo Switch with an exciting Remake! Totally revised graphics, revamped gameplay and… no release date yet! We only know that the title will be released by the end of this year.

Astral Chain

New IP from Platinum Games, Astral Chain is undoubtedly among the most attractive titles shown in the latest Nintendo Direct. The game will see the light on August 30th on Switch. The supervision of the project was entrusted to Hideki Kamiya (The Wonderful 101, Bayonetta), with character design by Masakazu Katsura (creator of Zetman, Video Girl Ai and Wingman)) and curated by the head of Design of Nier: Automata, Takahisa Taura (who also oversaw the development of Anarchy Reigns). This would be enough to ignite the hype spark for this hell-paced action-RPG, featuring a truly impressive graphic style. We can't wait to have it in our hands!
